The Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 naturally aspirated engine (codenamed F140HD), derived from the 812 Competizione but with upgraded internal components. It produces 830 hp and 678 Nm of torque, with a stratospheric redline of 9,500 rpm. It is believed to be Ferrari's last pure V12 naturally aspirated front-engine rear-drive GT car.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 340 km/h. Paired with a new 8-speed DCT gearbox (5% shorter gear ratios, 30% faster shifts), third-generation rear-wheel steering, and the 8th-generation Side Slip Control system, handling is exceptionally agile and precise.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri measures 4,733 mm in length, 2,176 mm in width, and 1,292 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Compared to the 812 Superfast, the body is 70 mm longer but the wheelbase is 20 mm shorter, which, combined with rear-wheel steering, makes handling more agile.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri's driving modes are located on the right side of the steering wheel, including Wet, Comfort, Sport, Race, and ESC-Off. The Ferrari 12Cilindri features suspension technology similar to the Purosangue SUV, with advanced electro-hydraulic damper technology that electronically adjusts damper firmness based on road conditions in real time. At low speeds the ride is comfortable, while at high speeds it firms up for better body control – without compromising the driver's feedback from the road.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri features a carbon ceramic braking system with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, with ventilated discs all round. It rides on bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport S5 high-performance tyres – 275/35 R21 at the front and 315/35 R21 at the rear – developed specifically for the 12Cilindri's performance characteristics, offering exceptional grip.
