The all-new BMW X5 has officially arrived, fully adopting the brand’s latest design language to deliver a thorough reinvention of both its exterior and interior. The new model offers five distinct powertrain options: petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, fully electric, and hydrogen, providing an exceptionally diverse range of choices.

The new-generation X5 retains BMW's iconic kidney grille, with the grille frame now featuring an illumination function that significantly enhances the futuristic ambiance at the front. The front end stands out with two horizontal LED strips that seamlessly connect the grille and headlamp clusters, complemented by dual X-shaped daytime running lights. When activated, the unique silhouette ensures exceptional street presence and recognition.

The side profile boasts sharp, dynamic lines, with retractable hidden door handles integrated along the lower window line. The roof is equipped with dedicated luggage rails and a panoramic sunroof, blending practicality with elegance. The vehicle rides on multi-spoke two-tone alloy wheels, while the front braking system features blue-finished multi-piston fixed calipers. Bold, defined lines accentuate the front and rear wheel arches, reinforcing the car's sporty character.

The rear design features distinct layering, topped with a spoiler and paired with slender, refined taillights. Inside the taillights are dual trapezoidal daytime running lights, with the BMW emblem centred between the two lamps. The rear bumper styling echoes the front, characterised by tight, sporty lines, while a simulated diffuser element at the bottom further enhances the track-inspired aesthetic.

The interior also adopts the latest design language, featuring a refined and optimised new iDrive intelligent interaction system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience. The cabin is equipped with BMW Panoramic Vision paired with a 3D Head-Up Display capable of projecting 4K high-definition driving information onto the windscreen. This significantly reduces the driver's need to look away, enhancing both safety and convenience.
The steering wheel features a new-generation exclusive BMW four-spoke design, with floating-style grips on both sides to improve tactile feedback and instant recognition. The center console is fitted with a 17.9-inch floating touchscreen that tilts 17.5 degrees toward the driver, perfectly continuing BMW's classic "driver-centric" design philosophy.

Additionally, a 14.6-inch independent entertainment screen is provided for the front passenger, while a continuous decorative panel spans the top of the centre console, enriching the dashboard's visual depth and elevating both luxury and technology in the cabin. In terms of standard equipment, the new model comes equipped with a wireless charging pad, alongside Level 2+ intelligent driving assistance and active safety systems.

The new X5 is available with five powertrain configurations: petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, fully electric, and hydrogen. Among these, the fully electric iX5 variant utilises BMW's sixth-generation eDrive technology and an advanced 800V high-voltage electrical architecture.
The top-spec iX5 xDrive 60 features a dual-motor xDrive all-wheel-drive system, with the front motor delivering a maximum power of 183 kW and the rear motor 242 kW, resulting in a combined system output of 425 kW. The 0–100 km/h acceleration time is just 4.6 seconds. The vehicle is equipped with a 140 kWh 46120 cylindrical battery pack, delivering a maximum WLTP range of 845 km. Charging efficiency is equally impressive, with a DC fast-charging peak power of 460 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 22-23 minutes.

For the petrol variant, the X5 40 xDrive continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre inline-six turbocharged engine, producing a maximum output of 294 kW and a peak torque of 540 Nm, with a 0–100 km/h time of 5.4 seconds. The diesel version, X5 40d xDrive, features a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel engine with a maximum power of 210 kW and a peak torque of 670 Nm. Both powertrains are integrated with a 48V mild-hybrid system within the eight-speed automatic transmission, providing an additional 13 kW of power and 200 Nm of torque assist, resulting in smoother take-offs and improved fuel efficiency.
The plug-in hybrid variants are offered in two models, both utilising a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine paired with a 145 kW electric motor. The X5 50e xDrive delivers a combined power output of 360 kW with a WLTP electric-only range of 102 km, while the X5 M60e xDrive offers a combined power of 450 kW and a WLTP electric-only range of 98 km. As for the hydrogen version, it features the third-generation fuel cell system, achieving a maximum WLTP range of 750 km.
