The BMW M3 is available in two body styles in Hong Kong: the M3 Sedan (4-door saloon) and the M3 Touring (5-door estate/wagon). The Touring is the first production M3 estate from BMW M, combining high performance with practicality for owners who want speed and cargo space.

The BMW M3 has two power levels. The standard rear-wheel drive manual M3 produces 480 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The range-topping M3 Competition M xDrive produces 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. Both use a 3.0-litre inline-6 twin-turbo engine.

The acceleration of the BMW M3 depends on the version. The standard manual M3 does 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The M3 Competition M xDrive, with its all-wheel drive system, does the sprint in just 3.5 seconds. The M3 Touring estate achieves 3.6 seconds.

The BMW M3's drivetrain and transmission depend on the version. The standard M3 is rear-wheel drive with a 6-speed manual transmission, preserving the traditional M car driving enjoyment. The M3 Competition has an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission, and the top version features M xDrive all-wheel drive, allowing switching between 4WD, 4WD Sport, and pure rear-wheel drive 2WD modes.

According to WLTP standards, the BMW M3 Competition M xDrive has a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.1 to 10.2 litres per 100 km. The standard rear-wheel drive manual M3 has a combined consumption of around 10.0 to 10.1 litres per 100 km. This is reasonable for a high-performance sports car with 530 hp.

The BMW M3 Sedan measures 4,801 mm in length, 1,903 mm in width, and 1,437 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,857 mm. The M3 Touring estate has a slightly increased height of 1,446 mm. Both versions share the same length and width, with the Touring differing mainly in rear design and luggage space.

The BMW M3 Sedan has a standard boot capacity of 480 litres. The M3 Touring estate is much more practical, with a standard capacity of 500 litres, expanding to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded flat. It is ideal for large luggage, camping trips, or carrying pets.

The BMW M3 features a curved display combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen, running the latest iDrive system. Standard equipment also includes M Sport seats, an M carbon fibre roof, and M compound brakes. Optional M carbon bucket seats are available for further weight reduction.

The BMW M3 comes with a comprehensive driver assistance suite, including Active Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with City Braking, and Blind Spot Monitoring. For passive safety, it features six airbags (front, side, curtain) and ISOFIX child seat mounts for comprehensive protection.

The BMW M3 is available in various exterior colours, including Alpine White, Toronto Red Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, and Brooklyn Gray Metallic. For the interior, options include Fiona Red/Black Merino leather upholstery.
