The McLaren 750S is available in Hong Kong in two variants: the 750S Coupe and the 750S Spider. The Spider features an electrically folding hardtop that opens or closes in just 11 seconds. The 750S is regarded as McLaren's final pure petrol V8-engined supercar, making it even more collectible.

The McLaren 750S is powered by the bespoke M840T 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, producing 750 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous 720S, 30% of the 750S's components are newly designed, including lightweight pistons from the 765LT, a higher-flow fuel pump, and a new ECU, resulting in a 30 hp increase.

The McLaren 750S Coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.2 seconds (7.3 seconds for the Spider), with a top speed of 332 km/h. Compared to the 720S, the 750S is 0.6 seconds quicker to 200 km/h, thanks to a new final drive ratio on the 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The McLaren 750S is 30 kg lighter than the 720S, with a dry weight of just 1,277 kg (the Spider is 49 kg heavier, at approximately 1,326 kg). The weight savings come from new carbon fibre racing seats, lighter forged wheels (13.8 kg lighter), and a single-exit exhaust system. The 750S achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 587 hp per tonne, making it one of the lightest supercars in its class.

The McLaren 750S retains the Monocage II carbon fibre monocoque chassis, but the suspension is upgraded to the third-generation PCC III Proactive Chassis Control hydraulic suspension. The front springs are softened, the rear suspension is stiffened, the front track is widened by 6 mm, and a quicker steering ratio makes cornering more agile. The electro-hydraulic steering also features a new auxiliary pump for more precise feedback.

The McLaren 750S features the long-tail rear wing design from the 765LT, with an active rear wing that is 20% larger than the 720S. It has three main operating angles to increase downforce, reduce drag, and enhance high-speed braking stability. The front bumper and headlight intakes are redesigned, the front splitter and side intakes provide greater downforce, and additional rear vents improve cooling.

The McLaren 750S offers three driving modes – Comfort, Sport, and Track – and the suspension also has three corresponding modes, giving a total of 9 possible combinations. The car also debuts the McLaren Control Launcher (MCL) custom dynamic driving preference storage function, allowing drivers to save their preferred powertrain, suspension, and steering settings and switch to them with a single touch.

The McLaren 750S features a completely redesigned dashboard, with an electronic instrument cluster similar to the Artura, and power/suspension mode toggles on either side. The central touchscreen now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with a new MCL shortcut button next to it for one-touch access to preset driving configurations. Standard equipment also includes a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a 360-degree parking camera, and a nose lift system.

The McLaren 750S is available in a range of exterior colours, including Ice White Pearl, Black, Silver, and more. For wheels, the Vortex ultra-lightweight diamond-cut two-tone forged wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) are available, which are 13.8 kg lighter than the previous generation. Other exterior options include gold brake calipers, body-coloured headlight surrounds, front fender vents, an electrochromic glass roof, and a gloss black styling pack.

The McLaren 750S features a carbon fibre monocoque chassis with low ground clearance, so you need to be extra careful with Hong Kong's kerbs and ramp entrances to avoid scraping the underside. Although the car comes standard with a nose lift system to increase ground clearance, it's best to use this function when entering or exiting car parks or steep ramps. Additionally, carbon fibre components are very expensive to repair if damaged, so owners should check their insurance coverage and repair terms carefully.
