The Maserati GranTurismo lineup in Hong Kong currently includes the "Modena" and "Trofeo" petrol versions, along with the all-electric "Folgore". In 2025, the convertible GranCabrio Folgore was also introduced, making it the market's only pure electric 4-seat, 4-drive convertible supercar.

Both the GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo use the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo "Nettuno" engine. The Modena produces 490 hp and 600 Nm of torque, while the Trofeo is tuned to deliver 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque. Both are equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

The Modena accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 302 km/h. The Trofeo is quicker, doing 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaching a 320 km/h top speed. The all-electric GranTurismo Folgore is even more impressive, with a combined output of 761 hp and a 0-100 km/h time of just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 290 km/h.

The GranTurismo Folgore is equipped with a 92.5 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 450 km. Built on an 800V platform, it supports 270 kW DC fast charging, taking about 18 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%. It also features a unique T-shaped battery design, which means passengers don't sit directly above the battery, lowering the centre of gravity for more agile handling.

The Folgore features a three-motor all-wheel drive layout ("one front, two rear"). One motor drives the front axle, while the rear two motors independently drive the left and right rear wheels without any mechanical connection between them. This allows for highly precise torque vectoring, providing natural and responsive traction in corners.

The GranTurismo measures 4,966 mm in length, 1,957 mm in width, and 1,365 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,929 mm. Its weight varies by model, with the petrol version weighing around 1,780 kg and the Folgore EV being heavier due to its battery, at about 2,340 kg. However, around 65% of the body is made of aluminium, which is relatively lightweight for an electric car.

The GranTurismo's cabin features a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen and an 8.8-inch comfort control screen for climate control and seat adjustments. For audio, owners can choose between the premium Italian Sonus Faber’s 19-speaker 3D surround sound system or an equally premium Bowers & Wilkins system.

The GranTurismo features a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, a combination that provides a great balance between handling precision and ride comfort. Higher-spec models also come with active air suspension, which automatically adjusts ride height and damping based on the selected driving mode.

The GranTurismo is larger than the 911, making it a true 2+2 GT car with rear seats that can accommodate adults, which is far more practical than the 911's "dog seats". The cabin materials and audio systems (Sonus Faber or B&W) are also more refined. While the Trofeo's V6 Nettuno engine may not have the highest horsepower figures, its engine sound and driving passion are something its electric rivals simply cannot replicate.
