The Kia EV3 is available in Hong Kong in two variants: the Standard and the Deluxe. Both are 5-door, 5-seat all-electric compact SUVs, made in Korea. The EV3 features Kia's "Opposites United" design philosophy and has won the 2025 World Car of the Year award and the Red Dot "Best of the Best" design award.

Both Kia EV3 variants feature a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor with front-wheel drive, producing 204 hp and 283 Nm of torque. The Standard version is equipped with a 58.3 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 436 km; the Deluxe version features an 81.4 kWh battery and offers a WLTP range of 605 km, making it one of the longest-range vehicles in its class.

The Kia EV3 Standard (58.3 kWh) is lighter, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds; the Deluxe version (81.4 kWh) is heavier, with a 0-100 km/h time of approximately 8.9 seconds. Both variants have a top speed of 170 km/h.

Both Kia EV3 variants support 350 kW DC fast charging, taking approximately 30 minutes (Standard) or 31 minutes (Deluxe) to charge from 10% to 80%. With a 7.2 kW home charger, the Standard takes about 8 hours, while the Deluxe takes about 10 hours and 54 minutes. The Kia EV3's fast charging system is compatible with both 400V and 800V chargers, so you don't need to worry about charger compatibility issues.

The Kia EV3 measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,565 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm and a minimum turning radius of 5.19 metres. At around 4.3 metres long, it's a compact SUV that is agile for parking and U-turns in Hong Kong. All versions come standard with a rear camera, and the Deluxe version also adds a 360-degree surround view monitor, making parking easy.

The Kia EV3 has a standard boot capacity of 460 litres, and the rear seats can be folded in a 6:4 split to expand cargo space. There is also a 25-litre front trunk (frunk) for storing charging cables or small items.

The Kia EV3 features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay support. The cabin also features Qi wireless charging (Deluxe version), rear air conditioning vents, and a sliding centre console table (120mm travel). The Kia EV3 uses a column-type electronic shift lever, saving space while offering convenient operation.

The Kia EV3 comes standard with 7 airbags and Kia's active safety systems. Features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA 1.5 with autonomous braking), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The Deluxe version also adds Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor.

The Kia EV3 features i-Pedal 3.0 one-pedal driving system, allowing the driver to control acceleration, deceleration, and even stopping using only the accelerator pedal. The system learns the driver's style and automatically adjusts regeneration levels for a more natural experience. Drivers can also manually adjust regenerative braking intensity using steering wheel paddle shifters, with a long press to engage i-Pedal mode.

The Kia EV3's 4.3-metre dimensions are manageable in Hong Kong, and the Deluxe version's 360-degree camera makes parking easy. The Deluxe version's 605 km range is among the longest in its class – one charge per week is more than enough – and it supports 350 kW fast charging, allowing a full battery top-up in just 30 minutes.
