The Suzuki Fronx was officially launched in Hong Kong in April 2025, with the first round of pre-orders starting in mid-April at an early-bird promotional price. The Fronx is Suzuki's global strategic model, positioned as an entry-level SUV targeting young drivers and first-time car buyers.

The Suzuki Fronx features a 1.5-litre inline-4 naturally aspirated engine (K15C) paired with the SHVS mild hybrid system (ISG + lithium battery). It produces 101 hp and 135 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission (with paddle shifters) and front-wheel drive. With a kerb weight of approximately 1,000kg, it feels responsive in city driving.

The Suzuki Fronx features a Sport driving mode that sharpens throttle response for overtaking or spirited driving. In terms of fuel economy, WLTC combined fuel consumption is 19 km/L (approx. 5.26 L/100km), which is excellent for an SUV. This efficiency is largely due to the mild-hybrid system, which provides assistance during start-off and acceleration, and recovers energy during braking.

The standard boot capacity is 210 litres, which can be expanded by folding the rear seats flat – sufficient for daily shopping or a few carry-on bags. The Suzuki Fronx is well-equipped with safety features, reaching Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capability. Active safety includes DCBS II (Dual Sensor Brake Support) with autonomous emergency braking, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Driver Attention Alert. For passive safety, the Fronx comes with 6 airbags.

The Suzuki Fronx features a MacPherson strut front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension – a common setup for entry-level SUVs. The tuning leans towards comfort, providing decent bump absorption on city roads and speed bumps. With a relatively low ride height (1,550 mm), the centre of gravity isn't too high, so body roll when cornering is acceptable. Overall, the driving feel is stable and well-suited to daily commuting.
