The Ford Ranger is currently available in Hong Kong in two variants: the Wildtrak and the top-performance Raptor. The Wildtrak is a rugged off-road 4WD pickup with a distinctive style, while the Raptor features a more hardcore off-road suspension and exclusive design elements.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak is powered by a 2.0-litre inline-4 diesel Bi-turbo engine, producing 205 hp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak has a WLTP combined fuel consumption of 10.6 L/100km (approx. 9.4 km/L), which is quite reasonable for a 2-tonne 4WD pickup. It has an 80-litre fuel tank, offering approximately 750 km of range on a full tank, sufficient for long-distance driving.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak measures 5,406 mm in length, 1,918 mm in width, and 1,884 mm in height, making it a large-sized pickup. Due to its length, parking in Hong Kong requires attention to space length. However, it comes standard with a 360-degree camera and front/rear sensors, giving you a clear view of your surroundings to help reduce difficulty.

The Ford Ranger features an electronic rotary 4WD system with 2H (rear-wheel drive), 4A (intelligent AWD), 4H (4WD high range), and 4L (4WD low range) modes. It also includes a 6-mode Terrain Management System (Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, Sand) and a rear electronic differential lock. With a 237 mm ground clearance, 800 mm wading depth, 30° approach angle, and 25.6° departure angle, its off-road capability is extremely impressive.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak features a 12-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, running the SYNC4 multimedia system with Apple CarPlay support. It also includes Qi wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, multiple front/rear USB ports, and a 6-speaker sound system. The rear bed now features a power sliding tonneau cover and a V2L (400W) power outlet for outdoor camping.

The Ford Ranger is equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of driver assistance technologies, including Pre-Collision Assist with AEB, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, and Roll Stability Control. It also comes standard with a 360-degree camera system, which is very practical for parking and navigating tight roads.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak's cabin has a car-like design. The front seats are sports bucket seats upholstered in leather with orange stitching, featuring heating and power adjustment for the driver. The rear seats have a flat floor design, offering spacious accommodation. The rear also features separate air vents, a 12V outlet, and USB charging ports, making long journeys quite comfortable.

The Ford Ranger Wildtrak's rear bed features a new power sliding tonneau cover that can be opened and closed remotely for secure storage. The bed is equipped with LED lights and a 12V outlet (180W), plus a V2L power outlet (400W) for powering external appliances – very useful for outdoor camping or picnics. The bed is lined with water-resistant, non-slip material, and there are grab handles on the sides for easy access.

The Ford Ranger is ideally suited for those who enjoy outdoor activities, weekend camping, or off-roading. Its 4WD system and off-road capability are more than enough for Hong Kong's country dirt roads, grassy fields, or beaches. The Wildtrak's well-appointed cabin makes daily commuting comfortable, and the V2L outlet and power tonneau cover are very practical. However, note that the Ranger is a diesel commercial vehicle with a 15-year service life, and its longer body (5.37 metres) requires more care when parking – though the standard 360-degree camera helps.
