Xiaomi‘s third model, a range-extended full-size SUV, internally codenamed “Kunlun” (or “Kunlun N3”), has been spotted in low‑camouflage road tests. Targeting family users, the EREV model will officially launch in the second half of 2026.

The Kunlun‘s highlight is its extended‑range powertrain. Equipped with a 1.5T range extender and dual‑motor all‑wheel drive, it packs a 70+ kWh CATL 4C battery pack, delivering a CLTC electric range of 400‑500 km and a combined range exceeding 1,500 km. System output ranges from 400 kW to 520 kW, enabling 0‑100 km/h acceleration in 4.8‑5.2 seconds. The chassis features standard air suspension, CDC dampers and rear‑wheel steering for enhanced dynamics.

As a full‑size SUV, the Kunlun measures approximately 5,340 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,100 mm wheelbase. It is offered in six‑ or seven‑seat configurations. Exterior highlights include a roof‑mounted LiDAR unit, droplet‑shaped mirrors, vertical LED tail lamps, and a split tailgate design. Inside, the second‑row seats can rotate 180°, complemented by a refrigerator and a premium surround‑sound system.

The Kunlun may adopt a new sub‑brand SKYNOMAD, positioned slightly below Xiaomi‘s main brand, targeting the RMB 300,000‑500,000 segment and competing directly with the Li Auto L9 and Aito M9.
Following extreme‑weather testing in Xinjiang, Hainan and Kunlun Mountains, the Kunlun is set for mass production in H2 2026. With its zero‑range‑anxiety EREV configuration, massive interior space and premium features, the model could reshape the large family SUV segment — and deliver yet another “Xiaomi moment” for the automotive industry.
