Buick has officially launched the new Century CENTURY flagship MPV, with prices ranging from RMB 539,900 to 699,900. Available in four‑, six‑ and seven‑seat configurations, the new model draws inspiration from traditional Chinese landscape paintings and classical architecture, infusing eastern aesthetics into every detail. The four‑seat version features a 32‑inch power‑operated liftable smart screen, which can instantly transform the cabin from a fully enclosed private suite to an open, interactive space with the touch of a button.

The front fascia adopts a new “flying eave” full‑width light bar, inspired by traditional temple roofs. The four‑seat exclusive two‑tone colour scheme, named “Guanshan Feixue” after Wen Zhengming‘s renowned Ming Dynasty painting, uses natural mineral pigments including azurite and malachite, hand‑polished to recreate the imagery of snow‑capped mountains. Gold badges, trim strips and the signature “Quenched Gold” pattern complete the exterior, with a full‑width LED rear light bar echoing the front.

The four‑seat version‘s highlight is the “mansion‑grade privacy partition system”. A 32‑inch power liftable smart screen rises to create a fully enclosed rear compartment, or lowers to restore open interaction. The system includes front‑rear intercom and the world’s first BOSE Excellence rear‑cabin audio system. The cabin is further enhanced by 136,092 hand‑stitched “Jiangshan Ruhua” embroidery and a “Starlight Canopy” headliner with eight sky modes and voice‑triggered shooting stars.

The second‑row seats use a 12‑layer construction with Fine Nappa semi‑aniline leather, offering 22‑point zone massage and graphene far‑infrared therapy — a “SPA throne” for rear passengers. Six‑ and seven‑seat versions also focus on comfort, with third‑row electric adjustment and heating.

The four‑seat cabin features exclusive 15mm hand‑cut imported wool carpets, replicating the flow of mountain streams. The “Amber Porcelain White” interior theme seamlessly blends warm tones with wood and metal accents.

The new Century CENTURY is powered by a 2.0T variable‑cylinder turbo engine with a 48V mild‑hybrid system, delivering 237 hp (174 kW) and 350 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The suspension uses front MacPherson struts and a rear multi‑link independent setup, tuned for Chinese road conditions.
Competing with the Toyota Alphard, Lexus LM, Mercedes‑Benz V‑Class, as well as domestic rivals like the Denza D9 and Zeekr 009, the Century CENTURY differentiates itself through eastern aesthetics and handcraftsmanship. While not yet available in right‑hand drive, its appeal to Hong Kong business and luxury family users is clear. The new model will be on display at the Buick booth during the Beijing Auto Show.
