Porsche has officially announced its 2026 Beijing Auto Show lineup, headlined by the global debut of a new member of the all-electric Cayenne family. Equipped with track-grade electric technology, the model is officially described as the “strongest Porsche production model ever”. The Nürburgring lap record holder, the 919 Hybrid Evo, will also make its Chinese debut.

The new electric Cayenne variant represents the pinnacle of Porsche‘s electric performance. Based on the Cayenne Turbo Electric, it features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 1,156 hp and 1,150 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Built on the PPE platform with an 800V architecture, the 113 kWh battery supports 390 kW DC fast charging. Key technologies include direct oil-cooled motors, 600 kW regenerative braking, active aerodynamics, and Porsche Active Ride suspension. The model also integrates a China-exclusive infotainment system developed at Porsche‘s Shanghai R&D Centre.

The 919 Hybrid Evo, holder of the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record (5:19.546), will be displayed publicly for the first time in China. Powered by a 2.0-litre V4 hybrid engine generating 1,160 hp, the car will be shown alongside legendary models including the 356 B 1600 S Roadster, 936/77 Spyder, and 908/03 Spyder. 2026 marks Porsche’s 25th anniversary in China and 75 years of Porsche motorsport.

The Panamera Essential Edition is positioned as the “high-value choice” within the Panamera family. Priced from RMB 998,000 to RMB 1,078,000, it features 20-inch Panamera Turbo wheels, black leather interior, and a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine delivering 260 kW.

Commissioned to mark Porsche’s 25 years in mainland China, the 911 GT3 Sonderwunsch edition features a hand-painted horse motif and exclusive craftsmanship elements.
Porsche‘s strong Beijing lineup comes amid challenging sales figures: global deliveries fell 15% year-on-year to 60,991 vehicles in Q1 2026, with China deliveries down 21% to 7,519 units. Porsche China CEO emphasised that the goal is not short-term rebound but the restoration of brand value, including market share stability, customer loyalty, and localisation.
The 2026 Beijing Auto Show sees Porsche deliver its strongest lineup in years. For Hong Kong enthusiasts, Cayenne Electric pricing has already been announced — starting from HK$1,398,000 for the entry-level version and HK$2,568,000 for the Turbo version. Final specifications and pricing for the new strongest variant will be revealed during the show.
