ZEEKR is an intelligent electric vehicle brand under Zhejiang Geely Holding Group. It was established in March 2021, and the brand was officially launched that same month alongside its first model, the ZEEKR 001. ZEEKR's mission is "creating an ultimate travel life together," and it aims to build a complete pure electric intelligent technology ecosystem, drawing on the industrial strengths and global resources of the Geely Holding Group. The brand's chairman is Li Shufu, chairman of Geely Holding Group, and its CEO is An Conghui. On May 10, 2024, ZEEKR went public on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker "ZK." It completed its IPO just 37 months after being founded—a record for the fastest time from brand launch to listing among new energy vehicle brands.
Establishment and Early Stage (2021–2022): In March 2021, ZEEKR was officially established. In April, the brand was launched at the Shanghai Auto Show, and the first mass-production model, the ZEEKR 001, began pre-sales. In June of the same year, the ZEEKR APP beta version went online. In August, ZEEKR signed strategic investment agreements with five ecosystem partners, including Intel Capital, CATL, and Bilibili. SEA Ocean Architecture is ZEEKR's technological cornerstone and the world's most bandwidth-intensive intelligent pure electric architecture. It adopts a layered architecture integrating hardware, systems, and ecosystem, possessing full-domain compatibility and continuous evolution capabilities. The Ocean architecture can cover full-size models from A-segment to E-segment cars, supporting multiple body types such as sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and sports cars.
Three-Electric Systems: ZEEKR launched the world's fastest mass-produced lithium iron phosphate battery—the Golden Brick Battery—equipped with a full-stack 800V high-voltage system, achieving a comprehensive powertrain efficiency of up to 92.5%. The second-generation Golden Brick Battery can add 473 kilometers of range with just 10 minutes of charging. In July 2025, ZEEKR launched the world's first luxury hybrid-exclusive architecture built on a pure electric foundation—the Ocean-S architecture. It features a full-stack 900V high-voltage hybrid system with 6C ultra-fast charging capability. ZEEKR released its European strategy in April 2023, officially launching its globalization process. As of April 2026, ZEEKR has entered over 50 countries and regions worldwide, with over 640 stores globally, building a channel network that combines direct operations, authorized importers, and dealer franchises. In the European market, after entering Nordic countries such as Sweden, the Netherlands, and Norway, ZEEKR opened a second round of expansion in the first half of 2026, successfully entering core markets such as Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Spain. The 007 GT is priced between 374,000 and 467,000 RMB in Europe, significantly higher than in the domestic market. Relying on the strategic cooperation between Geely Group and Renault Group, as well as CKD factory production in Egypt and Indonesia, ZEEKR exports its supply chain advantages and manufacturing standards globally.
In 2026, ZEEKR set a target of 500,000 annual sales, of which approximately 420,000 units are expected in China and over 80,000 units overseas. In terms of product planning, 8 to 12 new and revised models will be launched in 2026, forming a product layout with multiple lines running in parallel: "001+007+009+8X." The full-size luxury hybrid SUV ZEEKR 9X will officially launch in the third quarter of 2025. The 7GT electric touring car is planned to be launched from the end of 2026 to early 2027. In terms of channel construction, ZEEKR plans to expand domestic experience centers from 50 cities to 200, while deepening its penetration in overseas markets. ZEEKR's Global Vice President stated that the brand will continue to expand upward, advancing in two directions—high-performance models and ultra-luxury flagships—benchmarking against established luxury brands.
