MILITEM is a luxury tuning brand originating from Italy, founded in 2017 by Cavauto, a Monza-based import dealer established in the 1980s. The founder is Milanese entrepreneur Hermes Cavarza, who brings 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. The brand’s core slogan is "American Tech-Italian Made," and it specializes in deep upgrades for Jeep and Ram SUVs and pickup trucks. MILITEM is dedicated to blending the wild genes of American muscle cars with exquisite Italian craftsmanship and luxurious taste. Each MILITEM vehicle is hand-built in limited quantities, targeting the European high-end market, with starting prices generally ranging from €100,000 to €150,000.
The brand logo is a six-pointed star. This star replaces the original brand badge on the vehicles, serving as the most recognizable visual feature of MILITEM models.
MILITEM's brand roots can be traced back to the 1980s. Its parent company, Cavauto, has been active in the Italian automotive distribution industry since that decade, focusing deeply on the import and sales of American vehicles.
In 2017, Cavauto opened its first brand showroom in Monza, marking the official birth of the MILITEM brand. Subsequently, the brand quickly established a product matrix with Hero, Ferox, and Magnum as its three pillars, covering small SUVs, hardcore off-roaders, and large pickup trucks across three sub-segments.
In 2019, the brand held the global premiere of the new Ferox at the Monaco Top Marques luxury exhibition. Afterward, MILITEM successively entered the markets of Düsseldorf and Berlin in Germany. Between 2021 and 2023, the brand actively launched multiple new models, including the Ferox Adventure, Ferox-T, Ferox500, and Magnum Adventure. In 2022, MILITEM participated in the Essen International Tuning Show for the first time, regarding it as an important part of its strategic expansion in the German and European markets.
In 2023, MILITEM launched the brand's first electrified model, the Ferox-E, built based on the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid version, marking the brand's official entry into the new energy sector. In 2024, the brand introduced the Magnum 700, based on the Ram 1500 TRX, pushing the performance of the Magnum series to new heights.
Hero Series: Built based on the limited edition and Trailhawk versions of the Jeep Renegade, positioning it as a city luxury compact SUV. The exterior is 12 cm wider than the Renegade, adopting a 1.5-inch suspension lift kit and 20-inch star-shaped aluminum alloy wheels. The interior uses full-grain Italian leather, Alcantara, and Nappa leather hand-stitched, with almost no visible plastic parts inside. It offers a 1.3T four-cylinder gasoline engine (197 hp, 170 Nm) and a 2.0T MultiJet II diesel engine (187 hp, 350 Nm) power configurations, each increased by about 20 hp compared to the original factory. The Trailhawk version starts at €56,600, and the gasoline version starts at €52,800.
Ferox Series: The brand's core product line, deriving multiple versions based on the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator. The Ferox Adventure is a modified version, with anti-scratch coating special paint and copper-aluminum coating on the exterior, equipped with 20-inch off-road wheels and a lifted chassis, starting at approximately €83,680. The Ferox-T is based on the Jeep Gladiator, equipped with a 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine (285 hp, 353 Nm), a 2-inch lift kit, a dual-mode exhaust system, and 20-inch forged wheels, starting at approximately €97,490. The Ferox500 is based on the Wrangler Rubicon 392, equipped with a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine (470 hp, 637 Nm), matching an 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds, starting at €149,500. The Ferox-E is the brand's first electrified model, based on the Wrangler 4xe, equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 6.4 seconds, pure electric range of about 50 km, starting at approximately $101,000.
Magnum Series: The brand's flagship product line, built based on the Ram 1500 series, upgrading large American pickups to ultra-luxury 4x4 vehicles. Magnum is modified based on the Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition, equipped with a 5-inch lift kit, 20-inch forged wheels paired with all-terrain tires, and interior using over 30 square meters of hand-stitched genuine leather. The Magnum GT is equipped with a 5.7L V8 HEMI eTorque mild-hybrid engine. The Magnum Adventure adds anti-scratch coated front and rear bumpers and a dedicated roll cage. The Magnum 700 is based on the Ram 1500 TRX, equipped with a 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 engine, retaining the factory output of 702 hp and 882 Nm, starting at €164,950.
MILITEM is a highly niche custom tuning brand, only sold in limited quantities in the European market, with very limited public sales data. The brand's pricing is far higher than the prototype, for example, the Ferox500 sells for €149,500, which is nearly twice the price of the prototype Wrangler Rubicon 392. The brand provides a 36-month or 100,000 km whole vehicle warranty.
Chassis and Suspension: Developed and tuned the suspension system jointly with Italian partner ORAM. Custom suspension lift kits for different models (Hero lift about 40 mm, Ferox series lift 2 inches, Magnum lift 5 inches), two-stage air shock absorbers, and adjustable steering shock absorbers. Magnum 700 uses Bilstein Black Hawk E2 shock absorbers, the reinforced ladder frame chassis improves handling stability in both on-road and off-road conditions.
Braking System: Ferox500 jointly developed an exclusive braking system with the professional high-performance braking brand Powerbrake, including 370 mm front large-size perforated semi-floating brake discs, six-piston radial calipers, rear four-piston calipers, and equipped with aviation-grade low-expansion stainless steel braided brake lines.
Exhaust System: All models are equipped with exclusive high-performance exhaust systems. The Ferox500's four-outlet black matte tailpipe exhaust system can activate the valves via the center console button, adjusting the exhaust sound according to different road conditions.
Electrification: Ferox-E is equipped with a 2.0T gasoline engine and dual-motor plug-in hybrid system, the 8-speed Torque Flite automatic transmission works in synergy with all-wheel drive. Battery charging can be completed in about 3 hours, comprehensive fuel consumption in hybrid mode is about 3.5 L/100 km.
Interior Craftsmanship: Interior fully hand-finished, extensively using Italian full-grain leather, Nappa leather, and Alcantara fabrics, customers can freely choose leather color and material combinations. There are almost no visible plastic parts in the interior; seats, instrument panel, door panels, and even the trunk are wrapped in genuine leather. Each Magnum series vehicle requires over 30 square meters of natural leather, hand-finished by the craftsman team.
MILITEM operates four dealerships within Italy, located in Monza (the brand headquarters), Bologna, Padua, and Mantua. Its overseas market focus centers on the German-speaking region and luxury destinations. In Germany, there are four partner dealerships, including Düsseldorf Autohaus Ulmen and Berlin Autohaus Kramm, with the latter two specializing in American cars. The Magnum series is also marketed to the Middle East.
MILITEM participates annually in top European automotive events, such as the Essen International Tuning Show in Germany and the Monaco Top Marques luxury exhibition. As of June 2023, it was officially announced that additional dealership outlets would join the network successively.
MILITEM continues to deepen its electrification transformation. It is likely that more new models based on plug-in hybrid technology will be launched in the future, and the Magnum series may introduce power versions with higher output. The brand plans to further expand its dealer network in the German market, aiming to enter core cities such as Frankfurt and Munich. At the same time, MILITEM is expected to continue strengthening its presence in the global high-end custom car market segment through its limited customization model. Its differentiated positioning of "American Tech, Italian Made" is not expected to undergo fundamental changes in the short term.
