Brand Overview

KILOW is an innovative French electric mobility brand dedicated to the R&D and manufacturing of minimalist, lightweight multi-purpose electric microcars, headquartered in Cluses, Haute-Savoie, France. As a new energy pioneer under the industrial giant Savoy International Group, KILOW is committed to breaking the conventional "equipment excess, technology redundancy" norm, practicing the "Less is more" low-carbon car-making philosophy. The brand combines the practicality of rugged off-road utility vehicles with the low-carbon attributes of modern micro-electric vehicles (Quadricycle). Its flagship product "La Bagnole", with its retro "small Willys Jeep" styling and extremely high mechanical self-repair rate, has carved out a unique hardcore niche market in the European lightweight intelligent mobility track.

History

KILOW's brand story began with the designer and engineer team's reflection on the traditional automotive industry. In October 2022, KILOW unveiled its first concept car "La Bagnole" (French slang meaning "the car") at the Paris Motor Show. Its exposed steel tube body, wooden dashboard, and military oil drum-shaped battery pack quickly swept the internet. In 2023, relying on the parent company Savoy International's capital and production line expertise in the field of automotive parts precision manufacturing, KILOW officially established a digital flexible assembly line in the French Alps region. In June 2024, La Bagnole officially passed Europe's strictest light-weight four-wheel vehicle airworthiness and road compliance certification; in October of the same year, its final mass production version returned to the 2024 Paris Motor Show in a fully matured form, announcing the commencement of large-scale commercial delivery across Europe. Entering 2025 to 2026, with the full release of supply chain capacity, KILOW further bridged consumer-level refined life customization and business-level light all-terrain property and agricultural utility vehicle markets, entering the scale production phase.

Brand Matrix/Product Line

KILOW's product matrix is highly focused, with modular derivatives based on its iconic lightweight multi-terrain platform chassis. Its core flagship vehicle product is the La Bagnole series:

La Bagnole 45 (L6e Light-Weight Version): Mass-produced for European license-free or low-threshold driving regulations. The model has a lower rated power output, with the top speed strictly limited to 45 km/h. In France and most European regions, teenagers aged 14 and above can legally drive without holding a traditional car driver's license (only requiring AM class light moped driving qualification), focusing on school commuting, camping vacations, and urban short-distance commuting.

La Bagnole 80 (L7e Heavy-Duty Version): The 2026 flagship advanced performance model for the series. Top speed increased to 80 km/h, peak power up to 15 kW (approx. 20 hp), requiring B or B1 license (aged 16 and above) to drive. This version has stronger climbing and recovery performance and can legally enter urban secondary roads and suburban expressways.

In addition to whole vehicle business, KILOW's product line also expands horizontally into the high-end smart electric two-wheeler field, owning a micro-mobility ecosystem matrix composed of KILOW Gravel Electric Road Bicycle and KILOW Fitness Urban Sports E-bike.

Market Performance

In the 2026 European new energy aftermarket, KILOW presents an extremely brilliant "phenomenal" performance. The new car starting price is set at a highly competitive €10,800 (approx. ¥84,000 RMB), successfully smashing a "rugged light commercial vehicle" blue ocean between high-end older fuel vehicles and affordable urban pure electric micro-cars. Due to La Bagnole having a flat open cargo bed at the rear up to 650 liters / 150 kg, besides attracting Z-generation trendsetters pursuing French retro aesthetics, it also received numerous B-end procurement intentions from Alpine mountain resorts, vineyard farms, and coastal beach rescue teams. As of May 2026, order delivery time is maintained at around 6 months, becoming a force that cannot be overlooked in the European micro-electric vehicle field.

Core Technology

KILOW's core technology is not stacking high-computing power sensors, but pushing classic mechanical aesthetics and low-carbon three-electric technologies to the extreme:

Quad-drive level shaftless hub dual motors (Dual Brushless Wheel Motors): The power system is directly embedded within the two rear wheel hubs, eliminating complex transmission, differential, and half-shaft structures, controlling the vehicle dry weight within an amazing range of 283 kg to 415 kg (depending on battery specifications), with 0 to 40 km/h acceleration taking only 4 seconds.

"Repairable, Extendable" modular battery technology (Repairable Battery Tech): All series equipped with high-energy NMC battery packs with 48V specification. Single battery capacity is 5.6 kWh, cruising range is 70 km, owners can install up to dual battery version (11.2 kWh) to achieve 135 to 140 km long-distance crossing range. Its maximum technical highlight lies in the battery pack adopting a Lego-like detachable, self-replaceable cell design, completely breaking away from the wasteful cycle of modern electric vehicle batteries, where entire packs are routinely replaced rather than repaired.

Pure steel tube monocoque roll cage (100% Steel Chassis): Adopts double wishbone independent suspension and high-spec four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. The body has no excess plastic shell coverage, and cabin panels are crafted from solid wood and anodized aluminum. The entire interior supports waterproof spray washing, delivering both light off-road versatility and robust rollover protection.

Overseas Layout

As a national flagship project for "Made in France" green transformation, KILOW's supply chain achieves an exceptionally high level of localization, centered within the Alpine manufacturing corridor. Throughout 2025 and 2026, the brand accelerated the deployment of its global sales network. Using France and Switzerland as its core strategic pivots, KILOW entered the broader European market by establishing exclusive, authorized "KILOW Concessionnaires" dealership networks across Southern and Northern Europe. Concurrently, leveraging its unique rugged lifestyle and premium outdoor utility attributes, KILOW is actively engaging with specialized off-road and outdoor modification vehicle importers across North America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia (particularly developed island-tourism nations), exploring global market expansion through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) assembly.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead to the second half of 2026 and its 2028 strategic roadmap, KILOW has drawn up a clear ecosystem expansion blueprint. To address range anxiety, the brand is vigorously promoting its highly innovative "Photovoltaic Toy Box" (Solar Toy Box) charging ecosystem—allowing owners to opt for exclusive garages or trailer compartments equipped with lightweight rooftop solar panels, enabling passive solar energy replenishment whenever the vehicle is parked outdoors. KILOW plans to scale its production capacity to the ten-thousand-unit threshold within two years. Crucially, the brand remains committed to its philosophy of eliminating superfluous electronic screens, returning instead to pure mechanical driving dynamics and an easily recyclable, low-carbon architecture. By utilizing the slimmest physical footprint paired with the most rugged structural integrity, KILOW continues to define a 21st-century "return to simplicity" smart mobility paradigm—born out of a profound reflection on industrial excess.
