Antonelli leads from start to finish

Verstappen finishes third

Verstappen started second and initially looked well placed to challenge for the win. However, Leclerc moved ahead of him in the opening exchanges before the Red Bull driver briefly reclaimed second place. He was unable to sustain a challenge against Antonelli as the race progressed.

Verstappen eventually finished third, 17.485 seconds behind Antonelli and 4.407 seconds behind Leclerc. For a driver looking to make up ground in the championship, the result was a missed opportunity.

The bigger concern for Red Bull is the lack of sustained pressure on the race leader. If Mercedes continues to deliver victories, Red Bull will need to find more performance to keep the title fight alive.

Leclerc takes second as Hamilton finishes fourth

Ferrari had a more encouraging afternoon, with Leclerc finishing second and Lewis Hamilton taking fourth. Leclerc held off Verstappen to secure his second consecutive runner-up finish, while Hamilton narrowly missed the podium.

With its drivers finishing second and fourth, Ferrari collected valuable points, although Antonelli's winning margin showed that there is still work to do before the team can consistently challenge Mercedes for victories.

Ferrari's result also adds another dimension to the wider championship picture: while Antonelli continues to win, the battle behind him remains closely contested.
