Lynk & Co Z10

2026-09-29 18:10:00

The Lynk & Co Z10 is the Lynk & Co brand's maiden all-electric saloon, officially launched in September 2024. Built on the SEA intelligent pure electric architecture, this E-segment all-electric saloon spearheads the brand's strategic transition from "hybrid + ICE" into a fully electric era.

Model Overview

Positioned as an E-segment all-electric executive saloon, the model stems from Lynk & Co (a joint venture between Geely and Volvo). Key selling points include a 5,028 mm overall length, a 3,005 mm wheelbase, a 0-100 km/h century sprint in as fast as 3.5 seconds, an 800V high-voltage architecture capable of adding 573 km of range in 15 minutes, advanced ADAS, and the Flyme Auto smart cockpit. The lineup comprises 7 variants, with recommended retail prices ranging from RM186,800 to RM282,800.

Design Language

The Lynk & Co Z10 faithfully mirrors the design of "The Next Day" concept car. Up front, it features second-generation "Dawn Light" split headlights and a full-width light band housing 414 RGB LEDs capable of displaying 256 colours for unmistakable road presence. The side profile sports a sleek fastback silhouette, complemented by frameless doors, flush pop-out door handles, and hidden window seals to deliver an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.198 Cd. Out back, it is equipped with an active deployable concealed rear spoiler and energy-crystal full-width tail lights. Dimensions measure in at 5,028 mm long, 1,966 mm wide, and 1,468 mm tall, with a generous 3,005 mm wheelbase and a 616-litre boot capacity.

The cabin embraces a minimalist aesthetic, anchored by a slim 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch 2.5K floating central touchscreen, powered by the Meizu Flyme Auto operating system running on an AMD V2000A chip (delivering 1.8 times the computing power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295). The seats are trimmed in Nappa leather, offering ventilation, heating, and massage functions for up to four occupants, paired with a 23-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, a 1.96 m² panoramic glass roof, and an ambient fragrance system.

Powertrain and Range

The Z10 offers three powertrain options:

  • RWD Pro/Max Version: 200 kW (272 PS) / 343 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, top speed of 210 km/h

  • RWD Smart Driving Max Version: 310 kW (422 PS) / 440 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, top speed of 240 km/h

  • AWD Halo/Smart Driving Ultra Version: 580 kW (789 PS) / 810 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, top speed of 250 km/h

On the battery front, the Z10 packs either a 71 kWh or 95 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack (supplied by Quzhou Jidian), delivering a CLTC-rated range between 602 km and 806 km. Variants built on the 800V architecture support ultra-fast DC charging, juicing from 10% to 80% state of charge (SoC) in just 15 minutes, recovering up to 573 km of range. Vehicle-to-load (V2L) reverse charging at 3.3 kW is standard across the range.

Chassis and Handling

Under the skin, the chassis employs a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension setup, with higher-spec variants gaining dual-chamber air suspension and continuous damping control (CDC) adaptive dampers. All-wheel-drive models feature an electric AWD setup, riding on tyres sized up to 255/40 R21. It boasts a minimum turning radius of 5.7 metres and is backed by a 5-year or 100,000 km manufacturer warranty.

Cockpit and Equipment

Inside, the Flyme Auto infotainment suite supports multi-screen integration, four-zone voice command, and "see-and-say" voice activation. Standard across the range are a 360-degree surround-view camera system, panoramic glass roof, and automatic climate control. Higher-end variants add a head-up display (HUD), soft-close doors, and 50W wireless smartphone charging. Thanks to the 3,005 mm wheelbase, rear passenger legroom is exceptionally generous, complemented by a 616-litre boot.

Safety and Driver Assistance

In terms of safety, the Z10 comes standard with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and electronic stability control (ESC), alongside a comprehensive suite of active safety assists. On the automated driving front, mid-to-high-spec grades feature an advanced ADAS suite powered by a single NVIDIA Orin-X chip and 30 perception sensors (including LiDAR), enabling highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), mapless urban NOA, and automated parking. The range-topping Smart Driving Ultra variant further gains automated parking assist (APA), remote parking assist, and active lane change assist.

Market Outlook and Review

Following its debut, the Lynk & Co Z10 enters an intensely contested market segment. Direct rivals in its price bracket include the ZEEKR 001 (its platform sibling), Xiaomi SU7, IM L6, Luxeed S7, and BYD Han. While the Z10 holds an edge with its robust ADAS hardware suite (standard LiDAR and Orin-X) and distinctive styling, the sister-model ZEEKR 001 has already built a formidable market reputation, inevitably setting up internal rivalry between the two.

On paper, the Z10 punches alongside mainstream contenders with its 3.5-second century sprint, 800V fast charging, Flyme Auto cabin, and advanced ADAS capabilities. However, against stablemate Geely Galaxy E8 (which starts from RM149,800), the Z10 carries a premium of nearly RM40,000. Ultimately, its market success hinges on whether Lynk & Co can leverage its cutting-edge ADAS and brand equity to justify buyer outlay for its maiden pure EV, and whether it can carve out a distinct identity alongside the ZEEKR 001 to avoid cannibalising sales.

All in all, as the flagship spearheading Lynk & Co's EV offensive, the Z10 puts forth a compelling case across sizing, performance, charging speed, and driver-assist tech, catering well to mid-to-high-end EV buyers prioritising bold styling, tech-laden cabins, and dynamic road manners. The standout picks within the lineup are the 95kWh RWD Smart Driving Max Version (766 km range / 422 PS / Urban NOA) for an optimal sweet spot between range and ADAS, or the AWD Smart Driving Ultra Version (3.5-second century sprint / 800V ultra-fast charging) for full-bore performance thrills.
