The Baojun E6 is an all-electric compact SUV under SAIC-GM-Wuling's Baojun brand. Officially launched on 5 September 2025, the model carries an official price tag of RM149,800. Engineered primarily for the ride-hailing and shared mobility market, it is also available for retail buyers. The Baojun E6 serves as the dedicated commercial-fleet version of the Baojun Yunhai EV, sharing the same platform architecture and core design.

The Baojun E6 adopts a similar design language to the Baojun Yunhai EV, characterised by a clean and tech-focused aesthetic. The front end sports a closed-off grille flanked by sharp, tapered LED headlamps with integrated three-point LED daytime running lights. Down the sides, sleek character lines are complemented by black trim on the D-pillars. To withstand the rigours of high-frequency commercial use, the vehicle retains conventional pull-type door handles, avoiding the operational issues often associated with flush-fitting units. Round the back, full-width LED taillights give it a distinctive visual signature.
In terms of dimensions, the Baojun E6 measures 4,541 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, and 1,608 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Boot space stands at 567 litres in standard guise, expanding to 1,570 litres with the rear seats folded.
Inside, the Baojun E6 focuses squarely on practicality. The cabin features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display paired with an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Compared to the 15.6-inch screen standard on the Baojun Yunhai EV, the smaller display helps reduce future maintenance and replacement costs. The cockpit is fitted with a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a steering column-mounted electronic gear selector.
The Baojun E6 is driven by a single front-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum output of 150 kW (around 204 PS) and 310 Nm of peak torque. Top speed is rated at 170 km/h.
Juicing the motor is a 56.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, offering a pure electric range of up to 500 km on the CLTC cycle. When it comes to charging, a DC fast charger gets the battery from 30% to 80% state of charge (SoC) in just 20 minutes, while an AC slow charger completes a 20% to 100% charge in 8.7 hours.
Underneath, the Baojun E6 rides on a front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link independent suspension setup. It is configured with front-wheel drive (FWD) and equipped with Electric Power Steering (EPS). Braking is handled by ventilated discs up front and solid discs at the rear, complete with an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system. It rides on tyres sized at 215/60 R17.
The Baojun E6's interior appointments are tailored specifically for fleet and commercial duties. The central touchscreen comes with built-in Bluetooth connectivity and hands-free calling. The seats are wrapped in leatherette upholstery. The driver's seat comes with 6-way manual adjustment (6-way power adjustment optional), with optional seat ventilation and heating (driver-only). For added cargo versatility, the rear bench features a 60:40 split-folding mechanism. Other amenities include automatic climate control and a PM2.5 cabin air filter. Device charging is well catered for, with 3 USB/Type-C ports in the front and 1 in the rear.
On the safety front, the Baojun E6 comes equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS+EBD), Auto Brake Hold, and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC). Passive safety is covered by dual front SRS airbags.
In terms of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the Baojun E6 strips back on high-end features to prioritise cost-efficiency and practicality for commercial use. As such, it does not feature Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capabilities, omitting systems such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and full-speed Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
Priced at RM149,800 with a 500 km CLTC range, the Baojun E6 specifically targets the commercial fleet segment. It serves as a value-driven electrified solution rolled out by SAIC-GM-Wuling for the shared mobility and e-hailing sectors.
In terms of sales performance, standalone sales figures for the Baojun E6 are currently limited. For context, its sibling model, the Baojun Yunhai EV, registered 422 units in April 2026. Data from Sina Auto indicates that the Baojun E6 recorded 388 units in March 2026.
