AEHRA (pronounced "era," derived from the Latin "aera," meaning "era" or "indicators marking the start of change") is an ultra-premium electric vehicle brand headquartered in Milan, Italy. Officially established in 2020, AEHRA was co-founded by Hazim Nada (Founder and CEO) and Sandro Andreotti (Co-founder and COO), distinguishing itself as Italy’s first all-electric vehicle brand.
The brand’s positioning transcends existing mainstream luxury EV standards. It is dedicated to deeply integrating top-tier Italian automotive design, advanced global engineering technology, and North American user experience concepts. Its core mission is to create "pure Italian automotive art." While AEHRA has not yet publicly disclosed a specific logo image, it uses "ultra-premium" and "sustainable luxury mobility" as its key brand identifiers.
AEHRA's establishment traces back to Founder Hazim Nada's cross-industry resume. Nada holds a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Imperial College London. After a successful career in banking, he founded an international commodity trading company. Relying on deep accumulation in aerodynamics, he and Co-founder Andreotti built Europe's largest vertical wind tunnel, Aero Gravity, ahead of others, serving as important technical groundwork for the AEHRA brand. Brand project preparation began in 2019, initially incubating and iterating within the Modena automotive engineering design firm in the form of design consulting.
In June 2022, AEHRA first released its overall brand plan to the outside world in Milan, officially entering the public eye. On November 9 of the same year, the brand's first product—a full electric medium-to-large SUV concept car—was officially unveiled globally. In June 2023, AEHRA's second concept car, Sedan, was unveiled at the Milan Monza Motor Show, marking that the dual product launch of "one SUV + one Sedan" was basically formed.
In August 2024, AEHRA announced the formal names of its two production models — Impeto SUV and Estasi Sedan, and declared submission of a development plan totaling 1.2 billion euros to the Italian Ministry of Industry and Manufacturing, to establish a modern manufacturing factory in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The factory is planned to break ground in mid-2025, with the goal of starting mass production of the two models in mid-2026, raising annual production volume of each model to 25,000 vehicles. As of mid-2025, AEHRA has not disclosed actual progress on factory ground-breaking, but key steps such as product naming at the brand level, financing, and government support applications have all been implemented.
AEHRA focused solely on two ultra-premium electric vehicle models in the early planning stage, and has not yet released more all-new models.
AEHRA Impeto SUV— The brand's first model, positioned as a large all-electric crossover luxury SUV. "Impeto" takes from English "impetus" (drive), intending to praise the surge of creative energy. Body dimensions are about 5.1 meters long, wheelbase 3 meters, interior can easily accommodate passengers with NBA player-level physiques. The whole vehicle is equipped with a three-motor all-wheel-drive system, front-axle single motor, rear-axle dual motor layout, combined output power about 800 horsepower, equipped with 120kWh battery pack, target WLTP range about 800 kilometers (497 miles), 0-100 km/h acceleration about 2.9 seconds. The most recognizable highlight is the door design — front butterfly doors, rear gull-wing doors, the whole vehicle shape is extremely visually impactful after all four doors open. When announced in 2022, Impeto SUV was expected to price between $160,000 and $180,000.
AEHRA Estasi Sedan— The brand's second model, positioned as an ultra-luxury four-door all-electric coupé. "Estasi" takes from Greek "extasis", which is the state of ecstasy and fascination triggered by gazing at the beauty of a piece of art. Estasi inherits the SUV's chassis platform and three-motor power architecture, the body is lower and the aerodynamic contour is more fluid, adopting falcon-wing doors (falcon doors), handle-less design. The model shares 120kWh battery pack, 800 horsepower three-motor and 800 km range target, WLTP range close to 800 kilometers, 0-60 mph acceleration also about 2.9 seconds. Estasi is expected to sell slightly lower than the SUV, starting at about $170,000.
AEHRA shares over 70% of parts between the SUV and Sedan, including chassis, powertrain, and carbon fiber monocoque, to control development and manufacturing costs through scale sharing, thereby maintaining the economic feasibility of modular production under luxury pricing.
As of 2026, AEHRA has not yet achieved mass production delivery, so there are no actual delivery volume or revenue data. The brand has established a clear strategic route: the first batch of production models will be delivered first to core luxury markets in Europe and the US (US, Italy, Germany, UK), followed by entering markets in China and Middle Eastern countries such as the Gulf Cooperation Council.
AEHRA targets ultra-high-net-worth individuals, taking Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S, Mercedes-Benz EQS, BMW i7, and Lucid Air, etc., as direct competitors. In 2023, AEHRA received an investment injection of about 500 million euros from Middle Eastern investors, providing a solid funding source for the 2026 production plan. The brand also applied to the Italian government to be included in national major strategic projects; if approved, it will receive some fiscal special funds and industrial support.
AEHRA's core technology system revolves around three pillars: carbon fiber composite main shell, 800V ultra-high voltage electrical architecture, and open technology selection.
Carbon Fibre Monocoque: AEHRA is one of the few brands that use full carbon fiber monocoque as the standard structure for the two models. The core body and chassis structures are all manufactured using carbon fiber composite materials, introducing ultra-light materials such as forged carbon fiber, achieving high strength and durability while significantly reducing weight. AEHRA located its factory in Abruzzo, Italy, precisely based on the region having a world-leading carbon fiber industry cluster.
Three-Motor All-Wheel-Drive System: AEHRA model power scheme is a three-motor layout of front-axle single motor, rear-axle dual motor, combined output power about 800 horsepower, peak torque and wheel torque vectoring control accuracy are at the top level. Electric door sequence adopts unique butterfly door and gull-wing door combination design, is one of the representatives of integrated engineering, aerodynamics, and user experience design.
925V Battery System and Reparability: AEHRA adopts 925V electrical architecture, supports 350kW ultra-fast DC charging, actual peak charging rate is better than Porsche Taycan's 800V/270kW level. Battery pack is jointly customized developed with Miba Battery Systems, highly integrating energy density, long life, and reparability three principles. AEHRA emphasizes battery module-level repair, rather than replacing the whole pack as a whole, to extend the whole vehicle service life and reduce long-term holding costs; this strategy is consistent with the brand's core concepts of "sustainability" and "total lifecycle value".
Aerodynamic Design: The vertical wind tunnel Aero Gravity built by Founder and Co-founder directly serves AEHRA's body aerodynamic development. Impeto SUV and Estasi Sedan shapes are based on ultimate streamlines; active aerodynamic kits (active grille shutters, active spoilers, etc.) significantly reduced whole vehicle drag.
AEHRA has segmented its entry into the global luxury car market into three phases.
Phase 1 (starting in 2026) targets four primary delivery markets: the United States, Italy, Germany, and the UK. The North American market is a crucial component of AEHRA’s sales strategy; by integrating Italian design, global engineering, and US-centric customer service concepts, the brand leverages innate advantages in overseas market access and experience alignment.
Phase 2 (second half of 2026 to 2027) will focus on China and the Gulf countries, primarily launching the Impeto SUV and Estasi Sedan. In the Chinese market, AEHRA plans to adopt a direct-operated model complemented by a highly personalized digital customization platform as its channel strategy.
Phase 3 will see gradual expansion into other right-hand drive markets in Europe, as well as developed regions like Japan and Korea, following the completion of capacity ramp-up. Both AEHRA’s factory and headquarters are located in Italy; initial production capacity will be concentrated there to meet global export demands, with no plans to establish overseas factories.
AEHRA's future core will revolve around starting mass production delivery in mid-2026. The company plans to build the Abruzzo Mosciano Sant‘Angelo factory (covering about 207,000 square meters), initially creating 650 new jobs, gradually ramping up capacity to 25,000 units per model per year. After successfully completing the initial launch of the first two models, AEHRA plans that after establishing itself in the luxury field, to launch more electric models with slightly lower prices in the future, expanding the width of the brand's product lineup.
The brand will also continue to deepen cooperation with Italian universities — such as the collaborative work with the Advanced Electric Vehicle Engineering Research Center of the University of L'Aquila — achieving simultaneous breakthroughs in talent training, battery technology, to intelligent chassis. AEHRA's long-term vision is to become one of the core players in the global ultra-premium electric vehicle track before 2030, driving a paradigm shift in the entire traditional luxury automotive industry with Italian design revolution and engineering innovation thinking.
