iCAUR V25 to launch in China on 19 November – 455PS AWD EREV, 600mm wading depth

iCAUR has confirmed that its new mid-size SUV, the V25, will go on sale in China on 19 November, with international markets expected to follow in early 2027. Pre-sales in China's Mainland are already under way, with prices ranging from RMB 139,800 to RMB 175,800 (approximately HK$165,000 to HK$207,000).

First unveiled at the 2026 iCAUR International User Summit on 19 October, the V25 brings together boxy SUV styling, range-extender and fully electric powertrain options, and a maximum wading depth of 600mm. It also expands the brand's V-series line-up.

Off-Road Capability

The V25 has a number of features aimed at improving its off-road capability. It offers a maximum wading depth of 600mm, 197mm of ground clearance, a 30-degree approach angle, a 28-degree departure angle and a 17-degree breakover angle. It also comes with 265mm-wide tyres and 21-inch wheels.

The four-wheel-drive version gets i-AWD intelligent all-wheel drive, which adjusts torque distribution according to driving conditions.

Its body structure uses 80% high-strength steel, while the claimed torsional rigidity stands at 30,000Nm/degree.

These figures suggest the V25 is designed to handle more than just urban roads, with the hardware to tackle some rougher terrain as well.

EREV & BEV

The V25 will be offered with both range-extender (EREV) and fully electric powertrains. For its initial pre-sale launch in China, however, iCAUR is offering the range-extender version.

It pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, producing up to 455PS and 505Nm of torque. The claimed 0–100km/h acceleration time is around 5 seconds.

The range-extender version offers an electric-only range of around 150km under the WLTC cycle or 210km under CLTC, with a maximum combined range of up to 1,240km.

This setup allows drivers to cover everyday journeys on electric power while retaining the flexibility for longer trips.

Boxy styling with a practical cabin

The V25 carries over the V-series' distinctive boxy design, with round headlights, modern lighting elements and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Its rear lights take inspiration from building blocks, giving the SUV a recognisable off-road look.

Measuring 4,636mm long, with a 2,820mm wheelbase, the V25 is designed to make good use of its cabin space. iCAUR claims a cabin space utilisation rate of 66.4%. Boot capacity is 378 litres in the standard configuration, expanding to 998 litres with the rear seats folded.

Rear headroom is 1.3 metres. Features such as the dual-bed mode and zero-gravity seats add flexibility for longer journeys and camping trips.

Driver assistance

The V25 is equipped with iCAUR's Falcon 700+ driver assistance system, powered by a Journey 6P chip with 560TOPS of computing power. It uses a total of 27 sensors and supports HSD end-to-end driver assistance technology.

Customisation is part of the appeal

The appeal of boxy SUVs goes beyond their distinctive looks. Their styling and adaptable design make them popular with buyers who want to personalise their vehicles for outdoor activities and leisure use.

iCAUR says its models have maintained a strong presence in sales rankings over the past year.

The brand also points to the customisation options available for its vehicles, including more than 20 accessory mounting points that can accommodate items such as camping equipment and even a roof-mounted coffee machine.

According to the company, around half of its customers worldwide modify their vehicles, highlighting the importance of personalisation to its owner community.

The V25 builds on this appeal with i-AWD, a 600mm wading depth and range-extender power. That combination gives owners the option of using it for everyday driving while also setting it up for outdoor activities and light off-roading.

With Chinese pre-sale prices starting at RMB 139,800, it could appeal to younger buyers looking for something more distinctive and versatile without moving too far beyond their budget.

The V25 is also scheduled to reach Australia in 2027, marking an important step in iCAUR's expansion into right-hand-drive markets.

There is no confirmed launch plan for Hong Kong yet, but its combination of boxy styling, 455PS output and 600mm wading capability could make it an interesting addition to the local SUV market if it eventually arrives.
