Strictly Limited to 650 Units! Subaru WRX GD25 & BRZ ZC15 Anniversary Special Editions Debut with Exclusive Carbon Fibre Wing + Heritage Colours

[BitAuto News] Subaru of America officially unveiled two anniversary special edition models—the 2027 WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15—at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania on 28 September. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the WRX and the 15th anniversary of the BRZ in the US market respectively, the duo is limited to a combined 650 units worldwide. Featuring bespoke aero kits and mechanical upgrades, customer deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2027.

The WRX GD25 moniker pays tribute to the "GD" chassis code of the first WRX introduced to the US market in 2002, with production capped at 350 units. Visually, the car is finished exclusively in the iconic World Rally Blue livery, complemented by 19-inch gold alloy wheels, gold Brembo brake callipers, and Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tyres, delivering a commanding visual presence.

At the rear, the standout highlight is the STI dry carbon-fibre swan-neck rear wing, mirroring the exact aerodynamic hardware found on rally driver Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car. Chassis-wise, the vehicle is fitted with an STI flexible front strut tower brace to sharpen front-end rigidity, paired with a performance-tuned suspension setup comprising stiffer springs and revised damper calibrations that work in harmony with the high-performance tyres to elevate cornering limits.

Under the bonnet, the WRX GD25 houses a 2.4-litre turbocharged Boxer horizontally opposed engine producing a maximum output of 271 hp, mated to Subaru’s signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. Inside the cabin, it features Recaro sports bucket seats trimmed in black Ultrasuede with contrasting red stitching, alongside an STI gear knob. Available strictly with a 6-speed manual gearbox paired with an STI short-throw shifter, customer deliveries are slated for the summer of 2027.

The BRZ ZC15 draws its designation from the "ZC" chassis code of the original 2012 first-generation BRZ, with a production run of just 300 units. On the styling front, it comes exclusively in Ceramic White (unique to the ZC15), complemented by matte bronze alloy wheels, red Brembo brake callipers, and bespoke bronze lower body side graphics along the side skirts. This white-and-bronze livery serves as an intentional homage to the heritage styling of the 2020 BRZ tS.

The tail end features a sleek black boot lid spoiler, whilst an STI flexible V-bar brace is bolted under the bonnet to reinforce front-end structural rigidity. Power comes from a 2.4-litre Boxer horizontally opposed engine delivering 228 hp to the rear wheels (RWD), similarly available exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Inside, the BRZ ZC15 is appointed with black leather upholstery accented by Bordeaux Red inserts—a bespoke colourway exclusive to the ZC15 across the BRZ line-up. A dedicated "ZC15" anniversary plaque adorns the centre console alongside an STI aluminium-and-leather short-throw gear shifter. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2027.
