SAIC Volkswagen Passat ePro Goes on Sale at Greater Bay Area Auto Show, Starting at 169,900 Yuan

On May 29, 2026, the 30th Greater Bay Area Auto Show officially opened, where the all-new hybrid model Passat ePro by SAIC Volkswagen was officially launched with a price range of 169,900 to 203,900 yuan.

Built upon the fuel-powered Passat, the new model features optimized exterior details, projecting a distinct new energy vehicle character with a more refined and luxurious style.

The front retains an integrated headlight and grille design, creating an expansive and imposing visual effect; the lower section also adopts a贯通式设计, abandoning the more aggressive sporty lines of the previous model in favor of a steady, refined, and luxurious aesthetic, resulting in a comprehensive upgrade in quality.

The rear has also undergone a simplified upgrade, keeping the highly recognizable贯通式 taillights while streamlining the rear bumper lines, resulting in a clean and crisp overall design with enhanced layering.

Regarding powertrain configuration, the Passat ePro is equipped with a hybrid system combining a 1.5T EVOII high-efficiency dedicated engine and an electric motor, paired with a TQ251 transmission. Performance is highly impressive, boasting a CLTC combined range of up to 1,468 km, and a fuel consumption of only 3.6 liters per 100 km under depleted battery conditions, effectively balancing energy efficiency and practicality.
