Founded in 1958, Hongqi has become the national car brand that serves Chinese leaders and can be seen in major national events. In the 1960s and 1970s, Hongqi was considered as a flag of China's automobile industry. After the late 1970s, it began to develop towards marketization and commercialization. In 2018, the brand released a new strategy and design concept, stimulating its sales and promoting global exports.
