The BYD Dolphin 410km Standard Range comes with a fairly comprehensive safety package. Its active safety systems include ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, traction control and electronic stability control, together with tyre-pressure monitoring and seatbelt reminders for every seat.
Driver assistance is rated at Level 2, covering full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, forward and rear collision warnings, autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. Parking and low-speed manoeuvring are supported by front and rear sensors, a 360-degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert and door-opening collision warning.

被動防護包括司機及前座乘客安全氣袋、前排側氣袋、側氣簾，同埋兒童安全座椅接口。配置全面，但L2仍然係輔助性質，揸車時要保持留神。
