On August 26, Chery Fengyun T7 officially launched, with three trims priced from 97,900 to 118,900 yuan, with a priority trade-in price starting from 94,900 yuan.
When the industry collectively anxieties about "quick-build cars", the global validation system becomes Chery Fengyun T7's foundational asset. This vehicle underwent 2 years of planning and 3 years of forward development, investing 81 exclusive durability test vehicles. Cumulative vehicle testing exceeded 6 million kilometers, with durability specific tests covering 1.45 million kilometers, spanning 100+ extreme road conditions including EU, Australia-New Zealand, Middle East, South Africa, etc., with full temperature range coverage from -40°C to 55°C. The homologous model Lepas L6 has landed in Thailand, South Africa, entered Spain, Italy starting from September, landed in UK in October, entered Australia, Indonesia in November, with an end-of-year goal to cover over 100 countries and regions. This development logic of "Global Regulations Priority + Extreme Scenario Validation" is not common among 100k yuan tier models.
The three versions of this model are uniformly equipped with a 65.05kWh Rhino LFP battery, with CLTC range at 600km across the board. Officially measured range reached over 667km, third-party measured data is 681.6km. Fast charging from 30%—80% takes only 20 minutes, electric drive comprehensive efficiency is 90.8%.
In terms of safety, standard equipment includes 9 airbags (including far-end airbags), high-strength steel proportion is 80%, developed according to 2026 version E-NCAP five-star standards.
In terms of intelligence, it debuted with a 4nm process 8775 Cockpit-Driving Integrated Chip, equipped with Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 and Doubao Large Model, supporting full-scenario voice interaction, supporting highway navigation and 300+ scenario automatic parking.
At the press conference, Chery simultaneously announced after-sales policies: compensation for a new car of the same model if the battery undergoes thermal runaway due to its own reasons; if an accident occurs in parking or navigation scenarios within one year of purchase due to the intelligent driving system, compensation up to 5 million yuan.
From a market perspective, in the past year, the top 3 sales of compact pure electric SUVs were Deepal S05, Boshizhi 3X, and Galaxy E5, all at a scale of 100,000 units. The Fengyun T7's strategy of downgrading global standards to entry-level pricing forms a differentiated competitive anchor in the highly homogenized 100,000 yuan market. Whether it can finally translate into sustained sales remains to be verified by delivery data.
