33 days, over 10,000 kilometers, driven all the way from Xi'an to Singapore, "2026 Silk Road 10,000-Li Journey · Enlightenment Road" finally officially concluded on August 25. The convoy passed through six provinces in China, then passed through Thailand and Malaysia, finally arriving in Singapore. Previously, when mentioning the Silk Road, what people thought of might have been camel caravans, merchants, and relay stations along the way. Looking at this road again now, the transportation tools are completely different. This time BYD served as the travel partner for the entire journey. The new energy vehicle fleet composed of Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, and Yangwang can be considered as using a long journey of over 10,000 kilometers to connect new energy vehicles and this ancient Silk Road.

Driving this far, the true test is still the vehicles. Highways, mountain roads, city traffic congestion, various road conditions were basically encountered. BYD Flash Charging and Heaven's Eye Assist Driving System also underwent real testing on this trip. Flash Charging can achieve "5 minutes for charge good, 9 minutes for full charge". After a long run, energy replenishment efficiency is indeed a very realistic issue. Heaven's Eye relies on a large amount of real road data for continuous iteration and can provide more assistance during long-distance driving. No matter how beautiful the technical parameters look, only when really driving over 10,000 kilometers and facing different road conditions can the actual performance be seen more easily.

Speech by Wang Gang, President of Singapore Shaanxi Association
Choosing Singapore as the destination is quite interesting. Here car ownership costs are relatively high, so consumers are naturally more cautious when buying cars. However, BYD already has a significant presence locally. As of July 2026, BYD ranked first in total sales of all passenger car brands in Singapore for 19 consecutive months. Passenger car market share for January-July this year reached 24.7%, and pure electric market share reached 40.3%. Now walking on Singapore streets, business districts, and shopping malls, it is increasingly easy to see BYD. Locally, 16 retail touchpoints have already been deployed. For an overseas market, sales are only part of the picture. Being gradually recognized and accepted by local consumers is actually more important.

This is also a relatively obvious change in Chinese new energy vehicles going global. Previously, saying "Going Global", many people's first reaction was selling cars overseas. Now, more and more Chinese brands are starting sales and services locally, and also beginning to build their own brand recognition. BYD's overseas business also maintains good growth this year. Overseas cumulative sales from January to July exceeded 970,000 vehicles, with year-on-year growth of about 76%. New energy vehicles have entered more than 120 countries and regions globally. From Thailand, Singapore, to markets like Europe and the Middle East, Chinese new energy vehicles are appearing in more and more places.
From Xi'an to Singapore, this trip is finished, but the story is not yet over. A thousand years ago, camel caravans on the Silk Road connected China and the world. Today, new energy vehicles are continuing to move forward along the new Silk Road. Silk Road journey with green energy, the transportation changes, the road connecting the world remains. For Chinese new energy vehicles, the 10,000-Li journey is just a departure, the true globalization road continues.
