On August 25, in the Lion City of Singapore, the "2026 Silk Road 10,000 Miles Journey · Enlightenment Road" officially concluded. As the full-process travel partner for this event, the BYD New Energy Fleet departed from the starting point of Xi'an's ancient Silk Road over 33 days, spanning six provinces domestically, crossing Thailand and Malaysia, and finally arriving smoothly in Singapore, completing a transnational green energy expedition with a total mileage exceeding 10,000 kilometers. Li Yunfei, General Manager of the Brand and Publicity Department of BYD Group, and Zhang Lianye, Party Secretary, Chairman, and Station Master of the Shaanxi Radio and Television Fusion Media Group (Station), jointly announced the successful conclusion of this event. Cai Shandi, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, and Wang Gang, President of the Singapore Shaanxi Association, attended to deliver speeches. Guests from home and abroad, representatives from the overseas Chinese community, and media jointly witnessed the birth of this new story of the Silk Road journey accompanied by green energy.

2026 marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN. This event takes "Technology Towards Newness · Civilization Towards Center" as the core theme, connecting Xi'an as the starting point of the Land Silk Road and Singapore as the hub of the Maritime Silk Road. It deeply integrates cultural exchange, technology dialogue, and economic and trade connectivity, intuitively showcasing the contemporary value of land-sea linkages in the development of the "Belt and Road".

The fleet lineup for this expedition can be described as the "ceiling of China's new energy": BYD's Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, and Yangwang brands all participated, completing all types of complex road conditions throughout the journey including highways, mountain roads, and urban congested sections. Two core technologies directly passed the harshest test of 10,000 miles in real scenes: First, flash charging capability completely eliminated long-distance energy anxiety. With the hard power of "charging fully in 5 minutes, charging to 100% in 9 minutes", combined with a mature network of nearly 10,000 flash charging stations nationwide, even cross-border long-distance travel can achieve a replenishment experience more efficient than traditional fuel vehicles; Second, the "Divine Eye" assisted driving system significantly reduced the burden of long-distance driving. Relying on real driving data of over 220 million kilometers per day for continuous iteration and optimization, it provided safety escort for the fleet throughout the journey, making the 10,000-plus kilometer Nanyang expedition both stable and smooth.

Millennia ago, ancient Silk Road camel teams relied on relay stations for supply; today BYD used technology to upgrade this expedition into a model of green intelligent travel, completing a civilization echo spanning a millennium.

Many people do not know that Singapore is one of the markets with the highest car buying costs globally. Strict entry thresholds make local consumers extremely cautious when choosing vehicles. As of July 2026, BYD has ranked first in total passenger car brand sales in Singapore for 19 consecutive months. From January to July 2026, the local passenger car market share reached 24.7%, and the pure electric vehicle market share even broke through 40.3%. Even though the overall pricing of the models is not low-end, it continues to maintain sustained hot sales. Currently, BYD has established 16 retail touchpoints in Singapore. Multiple stores have directly entered core commercial district shopping malls. Local dealers continue to increase investment in high-specification terminal stores, and brand recognition continues to climb.

The bright performance in the Singapore market is merely a microcosm of BYD's overseas explosion: From January to July 2026, BYD's overseas cumulative sales exceeded 970,000 units, a year-on-year increase of approximately 76%; sales in July alone reached 179,800 units, a surge of 124.3% year-on-year. Currently, BYD's footprint covers over 120 countries and regions worldwide. In the first half of this year, BYD consecutively won new energy vehicle sales champions in multiple countries including Thailand, Singapore, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and South Africa. The UK market half-year sales also exceeded 38,000 units, running the fastest acceleration for Chinese brands in the global new energy track.

This 10,000-mile Silk Road journey is essentially a real-scenario answer sheet submitted by China's new energy industry to the world. When automotive products, intelligent manufacturing, and localized services land in more markets globally, BYD is deepening its participation in global automotive industry collaboration and green transformation using new energy vehicles as carriers, bringing more compatible green transportation solutions to countries along the "Belt and Road".
