Zanella is a renowned motorcycle manufacturer in Argentina, established on February 11, 1948, with its headquarters in Caseros, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The company was founded by four Italian immigrants: brothers Juan Zanella and Santiago Zanella, Ariodante Marcer, and Mario De Lásica. It is one of the oldest and most influential two-wheeled vehicle manufacturing enterprises in Argentina.
Development History
In the early stage of the company's establishment in 1948, it mainly produced automotive parts for Fiat and Peugeot. In 1957, a factory was established in Caseros, and a licensing agreement was signed with the Italian company Ceccato to begin production of 100cc and 125cc motorcycles, with engines designed by renowned engineer Fabio Taglioni. Production of go-karts and 50cc mopeds began in 1962. In 1970, a cooperation agreement was signed with Piaggio, introducing European designs and beginning exports to South America, North America, and Africa. From 1990 to 1999, it collaborated with Yamaha to produce Minarelli-powered motorcycles. In 1999, Swiss engineer Walter Steiner acquired 51% of the company's shares; later, his family held 100% of the shares. In 2001, it became the number one brand in motorcycle sales in Argentina. In 2010, it began assembling imported kits from Chinese CF Moto. A 70th-anniversary celebration was held in 2018. From 2018 to 2019, four factories closed due to financial crisis, and part of the inventory was auctioned. In 2025, a strong recovery was achieved under the leadership of the Iraola Group, with sales increasing by 37.8% year-on-year.

Classic product series include the 50cc moped series, which is an iconic product in Argentina known for its durability and popularity. The Sapucai series consists of affordable road motorcycles.
