The Nissan Connection: Historically, Yulon's major regional competitor in the ASEAN Nissan distribution space was the Malaysian Tan Chong Motor Group (which, as noted previously, operates TC Motor Vietnam / TCMV). Yulon has frequently vied for regional export strategies, utilizing Taiwan-developed Nissan platforms to influence neighbouring left-hand-drive markets like Vietnam.

Luxgen's Initial Overseas Push: Vietnam was selected as one of the very first international export destinations for Yulon's proprietary Luxgen brand. In the 2010s, Luxgen established official showrooms and service networks in Vietnamese metropolitan hubs (including Hanoi and Saigon), introducing models like the Luxgen7 SUV and Luxgen7 MPV to Vietnamese consumers.
