The Tucker Corporation was an independent American high-performance luxury automotive manufacturer established in 1946 by visionary industrial entrepreneur Preston Tucker in Chicago, Illinois. Operating out of the sprawling, former wartime Dodge mega-factory complex, the company was engineered to completely smash the outdated post-war vehicle monopolies of Detroit's "Big Three" by launching the Tucker 48.

Renowned for its avant-garde safety innovations, aircraft-grade rear-engine packaging, and slippery wind-tunnel aerodynamics, the enterprise was forced into sudden liquidation in 1949 following a highly controversial, aggressive federal investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
