Pogea Racing is a high-end automotive modification brand originating from Germany. Founded by Eduard Pogea on 21 July 1997 in Ulm, Germany, the brand is renowned for its deep customisation of high-performance luxury cars and supercars. Its comprehensive modification services cover exterior aerodynamic kits, engine power enhancement, exhaust systems, suspension tuning, braking systems, and personalised interior customisation. It is widely recognised as an authoritative representative in the German modification industry, particularly specialising in Italian brands such as Alfa Romeo and Ferrari.
The brand logo features a specially designed ‘R’ shape, encircled by multiple red outlines to form a circular vortex. This design offers strong visual impact—simple yet sophisticated—symbolising the infinite creativity of Pogea Racing as a modification brand. Pogea Racing’s core philosophy centres on the fusion of rigorous German engineering technology with the Italian racing spirit. Its relationship with brands such as Abarth, Alfa Romeo, and Ferrari is often compared by the industry to the authorised modification tiers of BRABUS and AMG for Mercedes-Benz.
Before founding Pogea Racing, the brand’s founder, Eduard Pogea, was engaged in the maintenance of Audi five-cylinder engines, with a particular focus on repairing the Audi RS2 Avant, a model developed in collaboration with Porsche. After accumulating profound engine engineering experience, he founded an automotive modification company in Ulm in 1997, naming it after his surname.
The 2000s marked a period of business expansion for the brand, as its modification services gradually extended from engine tuning to comprehensive upgrades encompassing suspension, braking, exhaust systems, aerodynamics, and interiors. In 2012, Pogea Racing moved its headquarters to Friedrichshafen, Germany, signalling the start of a new development stage. During the early 2010s, the brand’s prestige in the modification community rose rapidly. In 2012, it launched the carbon fibre version of the Abarth 500 ARES, ultimately setting a power record for the Abarth 500 with 404 horsepower. This was followed by classic projects such as the Ferrari Edition based on the Fiat 500 and the ‘Seven Sins’ modification package for the Audi A7. In 2013, the brand entered the Alfa Romeo 4C modification market, subsequently launching multiple generations of upgrade schemes (including Zeus and Centurion 007), becoming one of the most representative modifiers for the 4C in the industry.
2018 proved to be a pivotal year for the brand in the top-tier supercar sector. Pogea Racing successively launched the FPlus Corsa limited kit for the Ferrari 488 GTB (increasing power to 809 horsepower) and full upgrade schemes for the Maserati GranCabrio and GranTurismo. These developments made their global debut at the Monaco Top Marques luxury exhibition, further solidifying Pogea Racing’s position in the high-end custom modification field. In the 2020s, the brand’s product coverage expanded to include more manufacturers such as Porsche, Chevrolet, and Volkswagen. It also established the ‘POGEA.classics’ department for classic car restoration, entering the restomod field where classic cars are fused with modern technology. At the end of 2025, the brand announced the launch of a new restomod concept car based on the Porsche 964.
Pogea Racing is renowned for its multi-layered, highly limited modification projects. As of 2026, the Hercules is the only mass-produced modification series officially recorded by the brand in mainstream automotive encyclopaedias. However, the company’s actual business scope far exceeds this, having built a customised modification matrix covering multiple brands and dimensions.
Hercules: This is the only mass-produced modification series listed in mainstream automotive encyclopaedias under the brand. Built on the Fiat Abarth 595, it is positioned as a high-performance sporty hot hatch. It features a carbon fibre engine hood with air vents, a small wide-body kit, and a large rear wing. The suspension system is strengthened, with the body lowered by 45 mm, and it is equipped with 18-inch forged wheels and Michelin PS 4S high-performance tyres. In terms of power, the 1.4-litre turbocharged engine, after tuning, delivers a maximum power of 217 horsepower and a peak torque of 350 Nm, achieving 0–100 km/h acceleration in approximately 6.2 seconds.
Alfa Romeo 4C Series: One of Pogea Racing’s most famous product lines, this series symbolises the brand’s technical strength. The Zeus version expands the 1.75-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine displacement to 1.95 litres, replacing the original with a new turbocharger, forged piston rods, a larger throttle, and a carbon fibre exhaust. This results in an output of 477 horsepower (more than double the original 237 horsepower), with 0–100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 308 km/h. The Centurion 007 (Green Arrow version) further reduces weight based on the Zeus platform, maintaining power at the 350 horsepower level. The Nemesis version is also developed based on the 4C, with each version limited to approximately five units.
Ferrari Modification Series: Pogea Racing has launched the 488 GTB FPlus Corsa version, increasing power to 809 horsepower, which exceeds the original output of the contemporary 488 Pista. For the Purosangue, the wide-body modification kit retains the 6.5-litre V12 engine. Through reinforced turbocharging and the integration of racing technology, output is increased to 820 horsepower, complemented by a lightweight carbon fibre exterior and 24-inch forged wheels.
Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio Series: Pogea Racing provides a special tuning scheme for the 4.7-litre V8 naturally aspirated engine, increasing power output from the original 460 horsepower to 477 horsepower, with a top speed reaching 305 km/h. The vehicles are simultaneously equipped with a sporty suspension that can lower the body by 40 mm and 21-inch forged wheels.
AMG CLS 63 Shooting Brake: One of the brand’s most artistic personalised custom projects, this vehicle is personally owned by founder Eduard Pogea. Its appearance design has been praised as ‘beautiful as a painting’.
POGEA.classics Classic Car Restoration Series: This series includes the Mercedes 450 SL (R107) restomod project launched in 2025. Imported from the US, the car was fitted with a Mercedes-AMG C 55 V8 engine (394 horsepower), paired with KW Variant 3 coilovers and a Brembo braking system. The interior features Recaro Ergomed seats and a modern air conditioning and sound system, combining classic styling with contemporary performance. The modification of the 1959 Corvette C1 is also one of the department’s representative works.
As an extremely niche high-end custom modifier, Pogea Racing does not pursue mass production volume, but establishes brand value through limited quotas, exclusive customization, and high scarcity. Its main modification projects (such as Alfa Romeo 4C series) generally produce only 5 units; Ferrari Purosangue wide-body kits and FPlus Corsa, etc., belong to limited releases, specific pricing is usually not announced externally, quotation needs to be made separately according to the depth of modification. As of 2026, Pogea Racing remains an unfunded company, mainly operating relying on modification project revenue and founder's own capital, currently no public turnover or sales data.
Engine Deep Reinforcement Technology: Pogea Racing's most representative core ability is, on the premise of retaining the original engine basic structure, significantly increasing power through combined means such as forged pistons/connecting rods, high-angle camshafts, larger throttle bodies, cylinder boring, custom turbocharging systems, upgraded injectors, and reinforced cooling systems, etc. Taking Alfa Romeo 4C as an example, by expanding the 1.75-liter displacement to 1.95 liters and matching a new turbocharger, achieving 477 horsepower output. In the Abarth 500 project, in order to match the final performance, engineers tried 7 different specifications of turbochargers and 3 sets of fuel supply systems.
Lightweight and Carbon Fiber Craftsmanship: Carbon fiber is the core material for Pogea Racing exterior modification. The brand uses a large number of carbon fiber body parts for the Alfa Romeo 4C Zeus version, achieving weight reduction of about 80 kg, dry weight only 1,048 kg. Hercules model is also equipped with carbon fiber engine hood and tail wing.
Suspension and Braking System Customization: The brand matches high-performance suspension systems and braking solutions for different car models, such as KW Variant 3 coilovers and Brembo braking system, optimizing handling response on the premise of maintaining original safety standards.
Electronic Control System Rewriting: Pogea Racing independently develops or optimizes original engine control unit (ECU) programs, covering precise control of key parameters such as fuel injection amount, ignition advance angle, and boost value, ensuring the engine still maintains stable operating conditions after significant performance improvement.
Full Process Customization Craftsmanship: Pogea Racing upholds the craftsmanship standard of "almost no screw on the entire vehicle is unmodified", even parts as small as any in the project insist on using the highest quality parts and supplier resources.
Pogea Racing takes Germany as the core operation base, radiating influence to the global high-end car market through limited modification projects and global high-end car shows (such as Monaco Top Marques luxury exhibition, Geneva Motor Show, etc.). Cooperation with the US market is close, already through authorized partner AutoRicambi providing Stage 1 tuning services, etc. to North American Fiat 124 Spider owners. Has indirect contact with the Chinese market—in 2012, a carbon fiber Abarth modified car with power exceeding 400 horsepower was finally sold to mainland China users. In 2025 project Mercedes SL (R107) imported from the US to Germany for modification, to a certain extent, reflecting the brand's attraction and appeal on a global scale. As of 2026, Pogea Racing has not yet established official overseas branches or regional manufacturing bases, overseas business is mainly realized through international customer custom orders.
As of 2026, Pogea Racing is actively expanding its classic car restoration (restomod) business. The POGEA.classics department plans to launch a new restomod concept car based on the Porsche 964, positioning itself in the high-end classic car customisation market. Through official cooperation with more high-performance brands—including Porsche, Ferrari, Chevrolet, and Volkswagen—the brand’s coverage continues to expand. In terms of electrification, the brand has not yet launched a fully electric modification scheme. However, with the rapid expansion of the high-performance electric vehicle market, Pogea Racing may gradually develop electrified powertrain upgrades and custom modification technologies in the future.
Pogea Racing’s future development path will continue to centre on the ‘Ultimate Custom, Limited Release’ model, creating differentiated competition against mass-produced modification merchants. The POGEA.classics department is expected to become the business branch with the greatest growth potential for the brand. This initiative will help the brand expand from a traditional modification route focused on Italian car models to a broader high-end classic car audience, achieving a sustainable fusion of brand heritage and engineering capabilities.
