OILSTAINLAB

2026-05-28 19:20:04

OILSTAINLAB (Oil Stain Lab) is a leading automotive design and manufacturing company headquartered in Signal Hill, California, USA. The brand was founded by twin brothers Nikita Bridan and Iliya Bridan in 2019; both previously worked as designers at renowned automakers such as Honda, General Motors, and Acura.

The lab is defined as a "sanctuary led by crazy designers," dedicated to building driving machines that break conventions, are extremely pure, and full of mechanical aesthetics. In 2026, as its first mass-produced supercar, the HF-11 officially entered the delivery phase. OILSTAINLAB has become a totem brand in the hearts of hardcore players worldwide, perfectly fusing "the spirit of the analog era with future technology."

Development History

OILSTAINLAB's path to fame stems from paying tribute to and deconstructing the golden age of classic racing:

Project Origin (2019-2021):  The brothers stunned the auto world with the "Half-11" project (meaning only the front half of a Porsche 911). This test car, which looked like a combination of a Le Mans prototype and a 911, quickly went viral on social media with its exposed mechanical structure and wild exhaust notes.

Engineering Deepening (2022-2024):  The brand began transforming the prototype's concepts into a mass-producible high-performance architecture. In October 2024, OILSTAINLAB officially unveiled its new supercar codenamed HF-11 .

Debut and Financing (2025):  In July 2025, the HF-11 officially held its global real-car debut in Los Angeles. That same year, the company completed approximately $500,000 in debt financing to accelerate the mass production process.

Mass Production and Showcase (2026):  In March 2026, the HF-11 completed its Canadian debut at the Vancouver International Auto Show (VIAS26). In 2026, the brand began small-scale delivery of the first batch of custom vehicles from its headquarters in Signal Hill, California, through a "Bonded/Precision Assembly" model.

Brand Matrix / Product Line

OILSTAINLAB does not pursue mass production volume, but builds barriers through extremely rare art-level vehicles:

HF-11 (Mass-Produced Supercar):

Core Philosophy:  A supercar that can "switch souls". Its biggest technical selling point is the adoption of the Thunder-Volt swap-able subframe system.

Power Configuration:

Internal Combustion Engine Version:  Equipped with a 4.5L or 5.0L naturally aspirated flat-six engine (not produced by Porsche), with a redline reaching a stunning 12,000 RPM, and peak power of approximately 650hp.

Electric Version:  Equipped with an 850hp high-performance drive unit.

Dual Power Version:  Priced at approximately $2.35 million, owners can swap the powertrain themselves in the garage according to needs (by swapping the rear subframe).

Extreme Lightweighting:  Vehicle weight is only about 900kg (2000 lbs), making the power-to-weight ratio extremely terrifying.

Half-11 Prototype:  The spiritual base of the brand. Although not directly mass-produced, it appears frequently at top-tier car events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed as a technical development platform and brand showcase vehicle.

Market Performance

In 2026, OILSTAINLAB has become a "financial product" in the eyes of high-end collectors. Due to the HF-11 being limited to approximately 25 units annually, the starting price jumps from $1.85 million. Market demand far exceeded expectations, and the first batch of 2026 quotas was fully booked by top collectors worldwide before mass production began. The brand adopts a "Community-Driven" model, recruiting global developers and core fans to participate in product feedback. In 2026 market feedback, OILSTAINLAB is recognized as one of the few brands that can bring "driver engagement" back, and is even called by media as the "American Pagani", but with a more rebellious and hardcore style.

Core Technology

OILSTAINLAB's technology is not just engineering, it is industrial art:

Thunder-Volt Power Switch System:  This is one of the brand's core patents. Inspired by Le Mans race cars' quick subframe swapping, the vehicle allows owners to use a high-RPM internal combustion engine for track use on weekends and switch to a quiet but powerful electric unit for daily commuting.

Carbon Fiber Monocoque Architecture:  Adopts a custom carbon fiber monocoque on the level of the Ford GT, supplemented by aerospace-grade pre-preg carbon fiber cladding, providing race-level torsional stiffness at an extremely light weight.

Aerodynamics:  The rear of the vehicle exposes its power core (called "Guts") on a large scale. Through huge underbody diffusers and hidden spoilers, it generates stunning downforce using ground effects, without requiring exaggerated external components.

Retro Human-Machine Interface:  The 2026 model HF-11 insists on using an interior full of mechanical feel, with customizable 6-speed manual or 7-speed sequential transmissions, aiming to provide pure physical feedback for "mechanical obsessives".

Future Outlook

OILSTAINLAB's vision is "to allow drivers to regain lost sanity again". In the next three years, the brand plans to continue deepening its power switching technology and explore applications of lighter solid-state batteries. Meanwhile, the brothers expressed their love for "fully handcrafted aluminum bodies", and it is expected to launch an extremely handcrafted aluminum body version in 2027. As the HF-11 gradually takes to the streets globally in 2026, OILSTAINLAB is guarding the last pure land for internal combustion engines and analog driving in the wave of electrification in a "crazy yet precise" way.
