Development History

Nobo Auto's development history can be divided into three stages, reflecting a typical path for Chinese automotive parts enterprises from internal supply to independent operation and global competition.

Predecessor and Internal Supply Stage (1994–2018): Nobo Auto's history dates back to the Great Wall Motor parts supply system established in 1994. Its predecessors included Great Wall Motor's interior/exterior modules and rubber modules as two major business units. Over more than 20 years of development, it built a complete manufacturing capability from seats, interior/exterior trim to rubber sealing systems. As a stable and reliable supplier system for Great Wall Motor, it accumulated deep technical foundations.

Independent Operation and Marketization Stage (2018–2021): Based on the strategic planning of Great Wall Motor's reform and transformation, on June 13, 2018, Nobo Auto was officially registered, becoming one of the four independent parts groups under Great Wall Motor. The company integrated original Great Wall Motor seat, interior/exterior, and rubber core businesses and embarked on an independent development path with a dual "New" and "Old" identity — "New" means independent operation and full marketization, while "Old" represents its 25 years of deep cultivation in the parts field with mature and complete R&D and manufacturing capabilities. In its first year of independence, Nobo achieved sales revenue of 14.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%, demonstrating a stable basic foundation. In 2019, to further expand smart electronics business, Nobo Auto incubated and established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Nobo Technology, taking a forward-looking layout in smart cockpit, smart driving and other electronic and electrical fields.

Global Expansion and Technology Transformation Stage (2022–Present): In recent years, Nobo Auto has accelerated its transformation into an international Tier 1 supplier with "Globalization" and "Technology" as dual drives. The company has successively established overseas factories in Germany, Thailand, Czech, and other places, deeply embedding into the European supply chain with global top OEMs like BMW as pillars. On the technology front, it has extended from traditional parts manufacturing to high-value areas like smart cockpits, successively launching the iNest Smart Nest series smart cockpit systems, becoming a leading domestic provider of smart cockpit system solutions. In 2023, Nobo Auto's overall revenue broke through 20 billion RMB, achieving high-quality growth for five consecutive years, and was honored on the Global Top 100 Automotive Parts Suppliers list.
