The Geely Geometry G6 is a compact all-electric family sedan rolled out under Geely Auto Group's dedicated EV brand, Geometry, built upon the bespoke GBRC EV platform. Design Language

The Geometry G6 embodies the brand's "Light and Future" design ethos. Up front, a full-width LED light bar connects to an illuminated central emblem, while a closed front grille flanked by black aero air curtains and a lower honeycomb intake delivers a distinctive, modern fascia. Measuring 4,752 mm long, 1,804 mm wide, and 1,520 mm tall with a 2,700 mm wheelbase, it retains a classic C-segment three-box sedan profile. Its sleek side profile combines a fastback roofline with flush pop-out door handles to project a sporty, four-door coupe stance. Around the back, full-width taillights pair neatly with a subtle ducktail spoiler to mirror the front-end styling. For 2024, the colour palette is enriched with a new "Distant Mountain Blue" cabin theme, lending an even fresher vibe to the interior.

Powertrain and Performance

Powering the Geometry G6 are two permanent magnet synchronous electric motor setups: 100 kW and 150 kW. The 100 kW setup puts out 180 Nm of peak torque with a CLTC range of 410 km, while the 150 kW unit delivers 310 Nm and extends CLTC range to 500 km. The high-output 150 kW variant sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds, alongside a tested 100 to 0 km/h braking distance of 35.7 metres. In real-world efficiency, Geometry previously clinched top honours for winter range retention, and the 2024 G6 achieved close to a 90% real-world range fulfilment rate in tests featuring 80% highway driving.

Charging-wise, higher-grade variants feature a next-gen CTP (cell-to-pack) flat battery pack supporting fast charging, capable of juicing from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes, or recovering 100 km of range in 8 minutes. A 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) reverse charging function is standard across the entire range.

Chassis and Handling

Underneath, the chassis employs front MacPherson struts and a rear torsion beam setup driving the front wheels. The suspension is tuned primarily for ride comfort, effectively soaking up road imperfections and controlling secondary rear-wheel rebound over harsher potholes, while body roll through corners remains well within segment benchmarks. The steering is light and accurate, working in tandem with a steering column-mounted gear selector to make urban driving effortless. Torsional rigidity is rated at 22,000 Nm/deg, delivering noticeably better structural rigidity over earlier iterations.

Cabin and Features

A key class-exclusive highlight is the standard fitment of the Huawei HarmonyOS smart cockpit across the entire range. Dominating the dashboard is a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen (a 10.2-inch unit on base specs), paired with a 10.2-inch full digital instrument cluster. Powered by a 7nm Huawei automotive-grade module with an 8-core CPU, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage, the system delivers ultra-responsive performance, swift boot-up, and seamless app switching. The intelligent voice assistant supports continuous 90-second dialogues, dual-zone recognition, and full on-screen command capability ("see and say"), handling navigation, audio playback, and climate settings seamlessly via conversational AI. The interface also supports adaptive split-screen views, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, and seamless phone-to-car screen casting via Huawei smartphones.

In terms of convenience, the 2024 G6 ditches the traditional rotary gear selector for a column stalk, freeing up centre console real estate for a wireless smartphone charging pad and multiple USB/Type-C ports. The front seats are ergonomically contoured—with higher trims gaining seat heating and power adjustment for the driver—while the rear floor is practically flat. Ample soft-touch upholstery is trimmed throughout the cabin, ensuring a low-VOC, eco-friendly, and odour-free interior.

Safety and Driver Assistance

On the passive safety front, the Geometry G6 comes standard with dual front airbags, front side airbags, and full-length curtain airbags, offering 4 to 6 airbags depending on the trim. Active safety and ADAS are well catered for, with standard Level 2 driver assistance across all variants comprising 13 active systems, such as Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection (AEB-P), Traffic Sign Identification (TSI), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA). Flagship variants add automated parking assist (APA), a 360-degree surround-view camera, and blind spot monitoring. For battery protection, the 2024 G6's CTP battery pack is encased in an aluminium alloy structural frame with high-strength underbody armour, boasting IP68 dust and water resistance alongside 24-hour zero-flame thermal runaway protection.

The Geometry G6 carries Geometry's strategic ambition to capture a larger slice of the competitive C-segment EV sedan market. With a significant official price reduction of RM40,000 for the 2024 model year and the standard rollout of the HarmonyOS cockpit, its value proposition has grown considerably. Even so, its sales figures still trail behind category front-runners. In January 2024, the G6 recorded 1,228 deliveries, placing it 46th in the compact car category. While this leaves it trailing mainstream heavyweights like the BYD Qin PLUS EV and GAC AION S in the RM110,000 to RM150,000 segment, it continues to draw praise from buyers for its slick HarmonyOS infotainment and dependable EV powertrain.
