The Acura ADX is an all-new entry-level compact SUV that made its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2024 under Honda's luxury arm, Acura. Sharing its platform architecture with the Acura Integra and the North American-market Honda HR-V, the vehicle can be regarded as the SUV counterpart to the Acura Integra. As of June 2026, the ADX remains an exclusive model for the North American market; following Acura's withdrawal from the Chinese market, the vehicle has not been officially introduced or sold in China.

Positioned as the entry-level SUV in Acura's stable, the ADX slots in beneath the RDX to fill a crucial product gap for the brand. Its core selling proposition combines Honda's proven platform engineering with Acura's signature design language and premium appointments, aimed at drawing younger luxury car buyers with relatively accessible pricing. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,719 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height, with a 2,654 mm wheelbase, placing it in direct competition with the Cadillac XT4 and Lexus NX in terms of footprint. The 2026 model line-up is offered across three variants: the base ADX, ADX A-Spec, and ADX A-Spec Advance Package. Pricing in the US market starts from USD 35,000 (excluding the USD 1,450 destination charge), which translates to approximately RM250,000.
The exterior styling of the ADX adopts Acura's latest corporate design identity. Up front, it features the brand's signature Diamond Pentagon grille, finished with a black radial honeycomb mesh insert. The matrix LED headlights feature a sharp, sculpted dual-tier layout, giving the front fascia an aggressive and striking visual presence. The front bumper sports a three-section layout, flanked by dedicated LED fog lamp housings on either side.
In profile, the ADX retains the compact SUV stance of the HR-V, featuring a straight roofline and a short rear overhang that form classic two-box proportions. The distinctive D-pillar chamfer and floating roof effect add a refined touch of sophistication. At the rear, the SUV is fitted with a prominent vented roof spoiler and full-width LED taillights, complemented by a dual exhaust system. The base variant rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, while the A-Spec variants step up to 19-inch items.
Inside the cabin, the ADX builds upon the HR-V's foundational architecture whilst integrating styling elements from the Integra. It comes equipped with a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 9.0-inch floating central touchscreen infotainment display. The A-Spec variant gains a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel and bespoke fiery red sports seats. The interior is available in several high-contrast dual-tone colour schemes, including red-and-black and blue-and-white combinations.
Under the bonnet, the entire ADX range is powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. It produces a maximum output of 190 hp at 6,000 rpm and 179 lb-ft (approx. 243 Nm) of peak torque between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. Power is delivered via a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sequential SportShift steering paddle shifters. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes as standard, with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system available as an option. In terms of fuel economy, US EPA ratings state 26/31/28 MPG city/highway/combined (approx. 9.0/7.6/8.4 L/100 km) for the FWD model, and 25/30/27 MPG for the AWD variant. Premium unleaded petrol with an octane rating of RON 91 or higher is recommended.
The ADX is built upon a monocoque platform shared with the Honda HR-V. Suspension duties are handled by a front MacPherson strut setup and a rear multi-link independent suspension. Steering is managed by a dual-pinion electric power steering (EPS) system. The vehicle also features Acura's Integrated Dynamics System (IDS), offering four selectable drive modes: Snow, Comfort, Normal, and Sport, with the A-Spec Advance trim adding an extra Individual mode. The optional intelligent AWD system dynamically adjusts torque distribution in real time based on prevailing driving and road conditions. Braking performance is provided by ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear.
The ADX comes comprehensively specified in terms of onboard technology and creature comforts. Standard across the range are the 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit digital instrument display and a 9.0-inch central touchscreen with a physical rotary volume knob. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, and a 15W Qi wireless smartphone charger.
In terms of comfort, standard equipment across the board includes a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air-con vents, a powered tailgate with Walk Away Close function, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The A-Spec variant adds LED fog lamps, gloss black exterior lower garnish, and 19-inch wheels. The range-topping ADX A-Spec Advance Package further adds ventilated front seats, four-way power-adjustable front seats, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing automatic wipers, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system.
On the safety front, the ADX is equipped with the AcuraWatch™ suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and 10 airbags as standard across the range. Active safety features comprise Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Information (BSI), and Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM). The bodyshell is engineered with Acura's proprietary ACE™ (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) body structure. The vehicle has achieved the US IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) TOP SAFETY PICK award, alongside a full five-star overall safety rating from the US NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).
The ADX marks Acura's first strategic foray into the entry-level SUV sector in the brand's nearly 40-year history. Following its global unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2024, the model went on sale across North America in early 2025, receiving its annual model update in January 2026. Acura states that the ADX is successfully drawing younger luxury buyers to the brand and establishing a strong foothold in a fiercely contested market segment.
Automotive media reviews note that as an entry-level luxury SUV positioned in the "accessible premium" space, the ADX delivers commendable competitiveness in styling, powertrain, and equipment packaging. Leveraging a proven platform architecture ensures tight cost control and long-term reliability. The vehicle's key rivals include the BMW X1, Lexus NX, and Cadillac XT4. As a strategic model designed to bridge Acura's entry-level SUV gap, the ADX holds a distinctive position in the North American compact luxury SUV segment thanks to its youthful positioning and generous standard equipment.
