The Pro variant uses a 400V architecture, taking approximately 30 minutes for a 10-80% DC fast charge (150 kW) and about 5 hours for an 11 kW AC slow charge. The Premium, Summit Edition, and BRABUS variants use an 800V architecture, supporting faster DC charging. They can charge from 10-80% in as little as 15 minutes, while a 22 kW AC slow charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

All smart #5 variants share the same dimensions, measuring 4,695 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It is the largest model in the smart family, offering 480 mm of rear knee room. While the car is not small, it comes standard with a 360-degree camera, making parking and turning in Hong Kong manageable.

The smart #5 features a 72-litre front trunk (frunk). The standard boot capacity is 571 litres, which expands to 1,530 litres with the rear seats folded flat. There is also a 110-litre hidden storage compartment under the boot floor, and a total of 34 clever storage spaces throughout the cabin, making it extremely practical.

The smart #5's cabin is packed with technology, featuring dual 13-inch 2K OLED touchscreens, a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, all powered by a high-performance AMD V2000 chip. For audio, variants from Premium upwards are equipped with a Sennheiser 20-channel 7.1.4 surround sound system with Dolby Atmos support. Other luxury features include 256-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic glass roof, dual wireless phone charging, and a power tailgate.

The smart #5 comes with comprehensive safety equipment and has achieved the highest 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Active safety features are provided by the smart Pilot Assist system, powered by dual NVIDIA DRIVE OrinX chips (508 TOPS computing power), including ACC, AEB, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring. For passive safety, the body is made of 82% high-strength steel and features 7 airbags, including a front-centre airbag.

The AWD Summit Edition and BRABUS variants feature multiple driving modes. In addition to the standard Eco, Comfort, and Sporty modes, they offer Snow, Sand, Mud, Rock, and Adaptive modes for various off-road conditions, giving them significantly greater off-road capability than standard city SUVs. The BRABUS version also features a dedicated BRABUS sport mode.
