Roewe RX5

China’s first internet‑connected car wasn’t a tech startup’s product—it was a Roewe RX5, born from a daring collaboration with Alibaba that embedded YunOS into the dashboard. That move turned the brand from a heritage‑laden successor to British MG Rover into a digital pioneer. Today, Roewe’s lineup spans from the sporty i5 to the super‑hybrid eRX5, blending connected services like voice‑controlled navigation, remote diagnostics, and V2X communication. The brand’s design language, “Skyline,” emphasises bold horizontal lines and LED light signatures that evoke technological confidence. Backed by SAIC’s manufacturing might, Roewe has expanded into Southeast Asia and the Middle East, constantly updating its software ecosystem. For Roewe, the car is no longer just a machine—it’s a living, learning companion that grows with its driver.
