XPENG L03 launches in Hong Kong from HK$299,900

XPENG has launched the XPENG L03 in Hong Kong, with four versions available from HK$299,900.

The Standard Range RWD starts at HK$299,900, followed by the Long Range RWD at HK$329,900, Performance AWD at HK$369,900 and Performance AWD ULTRA at HK$439,900. All four prices are early-bird launch prices.

Early-bird offers include a free exterior colour upgrade and Greater Bay Area warranty coverage.

The XPENG L03 is part of XPENG's MONA series, which is aimed at younger buyers. It also has a more individual design compared with other XPENG models.

The headlights take their shape from the XPENG logo, while the raised bonnet lines and flared rear wheel arches give the car a more muscular look. The fastback body also helps keep the drag coefficient down to 0.228.

The L03 measures 4,650 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall, with a 2,850 mm wheelbase.

The cabin follows a simple, modern layout centred around a large display. A grille-like trim runs across the doors and centre console, with 256-colour ambient lighting built into the cabin.

Soft-touch materials cover more than 72% of the interior, and a velvet headliner is also fitted.

The 15.6-inch central screen handles functions including the AI voice assistant and Google Maps navigation. Other equipment includes a 26.8-inch W-HUD, massage seats, a 20-speaker sound system, panoramic sunroof and XPILOT intelligent parking assistance.

The sloping roof does cut into rear headroom, but the L03's 1,600mm body height and panoramic sunroof help keep the rear cabin from feeling too enclosed.

Boot capacity is 539 litres with the rear seats up, increasing to 1,640 litres when they are folded. There is also a 102-litre frunk, giving the L03 a useful amount of extra storage space at the front.

The L03 Long Range RWD has a claimed WLTP range of up to 520 km, with a battery capacity of up to 71.1 kWh. DC charging from 10% to 80% takes 20 minutes, while top speed is rated at 180 km/h.

The Performance AWD produces 317 kW (431 PS) and 451 Nm, with a claimed 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds.
