Chinese autonomous driving company WeRide has announced a strategic partnership with Denmark's leading shared electric mobility provider GreenMobility to launch Denmark's first commercial autonomous mobility service.

The collaboration marks WeRide's entry into the Nordic region, making it the first Chinese Robotaxi company to expand into Northern Europe.
Subject to regulatory approval, the two companies plan to launch public service in Denmark in the first half of 2027. The service will deploy WeRide's latest-generation GXR robotaxi, a Level 4 autonomous vehicle developed to comply with EU regulations.

According to WeRide, its autonomous driving operations now span more than 40 cities across 13 countries, with an L4 autonomous fleet of over 3,000 vehicles. The company also says it is the only autonomous driving company holding driverless operation permits across eight countries.
Its partner, GreenMobility, operates the largest free-floating EV-sharing network in the Nordics, with a fleet of more than 1,500 electric vehicles and an established mobility network across the region.
