Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max and N70 Max open for pre-orders in China's Mainland from RMB 259,900

At a recent technology launch event, Xiaomi SkyNomad introduced its new Kunlun architecture and officially opened pre-orders for the N90 Max and N70 Max in China's Mainland. Prices start from RMB 259,900.

The Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max features a boxy and rugged silhouette, with the front fascia showcasing a brand-new design language. The "SkyNomad" emblem is positioned at the centre of the grille, making it highly recognisable.

Up front, it is equipped with the signature "dragonfly" headlights, which resemble spreading dragonfly wings for a highly distinctive light signature. The headlights boast a maximum illumination distance of 624 metres and support 180-degree ultra-wide-angle lighting to improve visibility during night driving.

The front bumper carries over the brand's classic design with clean, dynamic lines. Additionally, the new model offers three new exterior paint finishes: Remote Mountain Green, Butterfly Valley Blue, and Volcanic Ash Grey.

The side profile retains a classic, ruggedly boxy silhouette with strong sculptural lines, complemented by semi-concealed door handles.

In terms of dimensions, the SkyNomad N90 Max measures 5,285 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,825 mm tall, with a 3,080 mm wheelbase. The smaller N70 measures 4,960 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,765 mm in height, riding on a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

At the rear, the highlight is a full-width Starlight Halo LED light bar, which creates a distinctive lighting signature and enhances visibility at night.

The N90 Max boasts a maximum wading depth of 750 mm and comes with dual wading sensors. When wading mode is activated, it monitors water level changes in real-time, allowing drivers to tackle flooded roads during the rainy season with peace of mind.

A total of 24 core components across the vehicle have been reinforced with waterproof sealing, and the power battery meets the highest IPX8 / IPX9K waterproof standards, ensuring outstanding reliability in harsh conditions.

Inside, the cabin is available in two premium colour schemes—Mocha Brown and Sandy Ceramic Beige—and features the Xiaomi HyperOS smart cockpit with a lavish array of hardware.

The cabin is packed with a 16.1-inch 3K central infotainment screen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, a 20-inch head-up display (HUD), a front passenger expansion tablet mount, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment display, and a rear smart control screen, all powered by the 3rd Gen Snapdragon 8 Mobile Platform.

The Super Xiaoai smart assistant comes standard across the range. Additionally, the vehicle features a cabinet-style centre console, a 9L smart onboard fridge, a hidden storage drawer, the Xiaomi Xingxian audio system, and Sentry Mode to elevate passenger comfort and convenience.

For smart driving, the entire range comes standard with the Xiaomi HAD XLA large model, powered by the 700TOPS NVIDIA Thor chip. The hardware suite includes a roof-mounted LiDAR, a 4D millimetre-wave radar, 11 high-definition cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

The N90 Max also adds a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, which improves the parking manoeuvrability and precision of this large vehicle.

The N70 features a five-seat configuration that prioritises second-row legroom, while the N90 adopts a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout, offering a cabin passenger space of 2,760 mm.

The N90 boasts a second-row interior height of 1,233 mm with 950 mm of legroom, and a third-row with 890 mm of legroom and 962 mm of headroom. The rear doors open to nearly 90 degrees, making ingress and egress extremely easy for elderly passengers and children.

The cabin space is highly versatile and can be configured as a personal mobile studio, a leisure lounge for two, a mini meeting room, or a family entertainment space depending on the scenario.

The vehicle supports up to four zero-gravity seats, with the second and third rows able to slide forward to their limits, allowing the cargo area to accommodate two 25-inch road bikes without any disassembly or folding.

The seats, sliding centre console, doors, and steering wheel all feature power adjustment, paired with high-strength rails and 39 anti-pinch safety points, combining flexibility with peace of mind.

Storage capacity is equally impressive, with a standard boot volume of 577L that easily swallows seven 20-inch suitcases even with all seven seats occupied. With the second and third rows slid forward to their limits, the maximum cargo capacity expands to 1,831L, easily catering to camping trips and cargo hauling.

Powering the N90 Max is a super range-extender system. The petrol engine supports 92, 95, and 98 octane petrol, and both the range extender and the electric powertrain components (battery, motor, and electronic control system) are backed by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.

The vehicle is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive (4WD) system delivering a combined output of 310 kW, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 190 km/h.

Range-wise, it delivers a CLTC electric-only range of 464 km and a combined range of up to 1,705 km, with a WLTC fuel consumption of just 6.26L/100km when the battery is depleted.

Fast charging is highly efficient, adding up to 285 km of range in 15 minutes, while a 20% to 80% charge takes only 18 minutes. It also supports 6.6kW V2L and 220V power output, perfect for outdoor camping and field operations.

The SkyNomad N70 Max also features the super range-extender system and a 310kW dual-motor 4WD setup, sharing the same 190 km/h top speed. Equipped with a 76kWh ternary lithium battery pack, it offers a CLTC electric-only range of 505 km and a combined range of 1,461 km, with a WLTC fuel consumption in depleted battery state as low as 6.1L/100km.
