2027 BYD Seal 06 Unveiled with LiDAR and More Powerful Performance Upgrades

BYD has officially unveiled the 2027 Seal 06, introducing a series of upgrades covering exterior styling, intelligent driving technology and performance. With refinements across multiple key areas, the new model delivers a significant boost in overall competitiveness.

The updated Seal 06 EV largely retains the design language of the current model, focusing on refined exterior details for a sleeker, more sculpted look.

At the front, the fascia has been subtly redesigned, with revised lines and reshaped air intakes on both sides. The headlamps are now slimmer and more elongated, giving the sedan a sharper, sportier look.

In terms of dimensions, the 2027 BYD Seal 06 measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with the wheelbase of 2,820 mm, keeping its proportions and cabin space unchanged.

At the rear, the model continues to feature BYD's signature full-width LED taillight, now with a simplified internal light signature that creates a cleaner, more modern appearance and enhances the sense of depth.

One of the highlights of the new model is the addition of an optional LiDAR sensor. It enhances the sensitivity and precision of the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), making the safety and driver aids more comprehensive and practical.

The powertrain has also received a notable upgrade. The new model offers two single-motor configurations with maximum outputs of 120 kW and 240 kW, delivering punchier performance than the current version. It is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, offering a solid balance of reliability and range.
