Lotus Emira 420 Sport Unveiled: Aerodynamic Upgrades, 0–100 km/h in 3.9 Seconds

Lotus has officially unveiled the Emira 420 Sport, the first major sports car to emerge from the brand's Focus 2030 strategy. The new model is now available to order in overseas markets, with the first customer deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2026.

Visually, the Emira 420 Sport retains the familiar silhouette of the standard Emira but receives a series of more aggressive styling and aerodynamic enhancements. Key upgrades include a carbon-fibre louvred tailgate, 20-inch ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels, and a titanium exhaust system.

Extended side skirts help optimise airflow along the sides of the car, reducing turbulence around the rear, while the combination of a lip spoiler and the louvred tailgate generates an additional 25 kg of downforce with virtually no increase in aerodynamic drag, significantly improving high-speed stability.

The Emira 420 Sport comes standard with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 semi-slick tyres, delivering dry-weather grip that approaches race-car levels. At the same time, Lotus engineers have lowered the car's ride height by 5 mm, further improving body control, road-holding ability and overall handling precision.

Powering the Emira 420 Sport is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 420 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), it sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of approximately 300 km/h.
