Mazda 6e Arrives in Hong Kong from HK$399,990 – Changan Engineering Meets Mazda Design

The all-new Mazda 6e has arrived in Hong Kong and is now on public display at the brand's Kowloon Bay showroom. To mark its launch, Mazda is offering a limited-time introductory promotion for the first batch of customers, with prices starting from HK$399,990. (Images shown are of the European-spec model.)

The Mazda 6e is manufactured by Changan Mazda in China and shares parts of its underlying hardware with Changan's technology. However, its exterior styling has been designed by Mazda Japan.

Positioned as a D-segment executive sedan, the Mazda 6e measures 4,921 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,491 mm tall, with a 2,895 mm wheelbase.

The Hong Kong-spec Mazda 6e is offered in a single, fully equipped flagship trim, with a strong focus on luxury and comfort. The cabin features brown Nappa leather upholstery paired with suede-trimmed seats, while the front seats come with both heating and ventilation, helping to keep occupants comfortable in Hong Kong's hot and humid climate.

Standard equipment is comprehensive, including a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), a 14-speaker Sony premium audio system, wireless smartphone charging, and three-zone automatic climate control with a dedicated rear touchscreen control panel.

The Mazda 6e also comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels and an active rear spoiler.

In terms of safety, the new Mazda 6e comes equipped with a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, including a Blind Spot View Monitor that provides a live camera feed of the vehicle's blind spot. This feature is particularly well suited to Hong Kong's narrow, winding roads and busy junctions, helping to enhance overall driving safety.

The Hong Kong-spec Mazda 6e is broadly aligned with the UK specification. It is powered by a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a single rear-mounted electric motor, producing 258 PS and 290 Nm of torque. It offers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 560 km.

Charging performance is equally impressive. The Mazda 6e supports DC fast charging at up to 195 kW, allowing the battery to be replenished from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.

The local distributor has also confirmed that the CX-6e, a fully electric five-seat SUV, will be introduced to the Hong Kong market later this year, further expanding Mazda's EV line-up. Pricing and launch details will be announced closer to its official debut.
