Huawei's Qiankun Smart Automotive Solution has recently unveiled further details on the Epicland X9, a flagship SUV resulting from a deep collaboration between Dongfeng and Huawei. The new model is fully equipped with the latest HarmonySpace 6 cockpit, featuring a suite of industry-first in-vehicle and intelligent driving technologies, boasting an exceptionally impressive overall product appeal. The vehicle previously made its debut at the Hong Kong International Auto Expo.

Regarding the infotainment display, the Epicland X9 marks the industry debut of a 17.2-inch Butterfly Dual-Link Screen, featuring a 21:10 ultra-wide aspect ratio and supporting dual-screen interconnection. Notably, it is the first vehicle equipped with a soft-light display, completely eliminating light interference issues during daily driving. The screen adopts a central layout, allowing the driver and front passenger to operate independently while remaining interconnected. The front passenger can easily control the display and watch videos without leaning forward. With dedicated usage spaces for both the driver and front passenger, the front-row seating experience is significantly enhanced.

In terms of specifications, both screens offer 3.4K resolution with a 98% DCI-P3 ultra-wide colour gamut, delivering exceptionally detailed imagery and high colour accuracy. The new in-vehicle soft-light display is crafted using high-precision nano-etching technology, presenting a full-screen soft-light effect that is gentle on the eyes even during prolonged viewing. Even when facing complex lighting environments such as direct sunlight or side glare, the display remains crystal clear and transparent, eliminating most glare and reflections while significantly reducing light interference with visibility.

In terms of exterior design, the Epicland X9 adopts a futuristic and fashionable style. The front features a closed grille paired with popular split headlamp assemblies. The upper full-width daytime running lights are highly distinctive, while the lower lamp clusters integrate seamlessly with the side body cladding, enhancing the front's overall cohesion and imposing presence.

The side profile features long, flowing lines, complemented by refined multi-spoke alloy wheels and a semi-hidden door design, exuding a premium quality. The rear is equipped with a full-width taillight, with a recessed number plate area adding rich visual layering. The rear bumper design is minimalist yet atmospheric, echoing the front-end design for a harmonious and unified overall appearance. In terms of body dimensions, the X9 measures 5,301 mm in length, 2,015 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height, with an expansive wheelbase of 3,120 mm.

Smart configurations are the core highlights of the new vehicle. The Epicland X9 is among the first batch of models equipped with the new-generation Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving System, the new-generation Harmony Cockpit, and an 896-line dual-optical path image-grade LiDAR, powered by Huawei's full-stack smart automotive solution, comprehensively upgrading its intelligent driving performance.

Regarding powertrain, the new vehicle adopts a plug-in hybrid system with a large-capacity battery pack, delivering outstanding pure electric range. According to official plans, the Epicland X9 will officially debut at the Chengdu Auto Show this September, with nationwide deliveries commencing simultaneously. According to previous reports, a right-hand drive version of the new vehicle is also under accelerated development, though it remains unclear whether it will enter the Hong Kong market.
