Located in Taikoo Shing, the Hongqi Hong Kong Experience Centre officially opened today (9 July). Alongside the grand opening ceremony, Hongqi unveiled two models tailored for the Hong Kong market: the e-HS9 and the EHS5.

Hongqi e-HS9
The Hongqi e-HS9 previously went on sale during the Hong Kong Auto Expo, with an indicative price of HK$998,800.
In terms of exterior styling, the e-HS9 features Hongqi's signature vertical-slat grille paired with a split headlight design. The new model boasts a more substantial grille, projecting a commanding and powerful road presence. The elongated headlamp clusters are accentuated by dedicated light strips that extend to both sides of the air intake, integrating seamlessly with the front-end design. The fog lamps below the headlights also incorporate an integrated light strip design, adding refined detail.

The side profile features poised and elegant lines, with a robust character line extending from the headlamps to the rear, creating a strong sense of layering. Chrome accents adorn both the C-pillar and D-pillar; the C-pillar specifically features a wide chrome panel—a classic design element among luxury SUVs in its class that exudes an air of prestige. Consistent with modern luxury models, the new vehicle is also equipped with flush door handles, balancing aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency.

The interior emphasises a high-tech luxury style. Key features include dual 15.6-inch 2K central infotainment touchscreens and a passenger-side display, complemented by a 16-speaker Bose sound system, four-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic glass roof, and third-row power-folding seats, among other premium amenities.

Regarding powertrain specifications, the Hongqi e-HS9 adopts a dual-motor electric all-wheel-drive system, delivering a maximum output of 630 PS and peak torque of 710 Nm, with a WLTP range of 548km.
Hongqi EHS5
Having previously made its debut at the Hong Kong Auto Expo, the EHS5 corresponds to the "Tiangong 06" model sold in mainland China.
In terms of exterior design, the Hongqi EHS5 features a closed grille exclusive to electric vehicles. A light-emitting Hongqi new-energy logo is positioned at the centre of the front end, flanked by sharp headlamp clusters that create a striking visual impact. The lower front bumper features a three-dimensional, dynamic shape, with a full-width air intake design further enhancing the sporty atmosphere of the front fascia.

The side profile boasts simple, smooth lines, complemented by mainstream flush door handles and multi-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels, resulting in a vehicle stance that is both steady and dynamic.

The rear eschews the common full-width taillight bar, opting instead for full-bodied, uniquely styled dedicated taillights that offer high distinctiveness and recognisability when illuminated. The lower rear bumper adopts a full-width design that echoes the front fascia, creating a cohesive front-to-rear appearance with rich visual layering.
The interior follows Hongqi's latest family design language, featuring extensive soft-touch materials throughout the cabin for a premium feel. Equipment includes a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, intelligent driver-assistance systems, ambient lighting, smartphone app connectivity, heated door mirrors, and electric seats. Ventilated and massaging front seats, a 14-speaker audio system (8 speakers on standard models), and suede-like interior trim are available as optional extras.

The EHS5 also offers impressive space, with a standard boot capacity of 472 litres, expandable to 1,611 litres with the rear seats folded down.
Regarding power, the Hongqi EHS5 is available in two variants: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The single-motor version boasts a maximum power output of 210kW, while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant features maximum power outputs of 202kW and 210kW for the front and rear motors, respectively. Both variants utilise a 400V architecture and are equipped with an 85kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering CLTC pure-electric ranges of 550km and 522km, respectively.
