On July 1, AVATR officially announced that it has secured a Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving test license. Systematic, full-scale road testing for the brand's vehicle lineup is now underway according to plan.

AVATR is currently advancing a rigorous suite of compliance protocols. This framework encompasses L3 function validation, functional safety testing, Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) validation, traffic regulation compliance, and Data Storage System for Automated Driving (DSSAD) assessments. Through this holistic evaluation, AVATR ensures its L3 technology is safe, compliant, and ready for stable, real-world deployment.

Rooted in professional driver safety standards, the system features a comprehensive emergency risk response mechanism. In critical scenarios—such as a driver takeover timeout or driver incapacitation—the vehicle autonomously executes a Minimal Risk Condition (MRC) strategy, safely pulling over and stopping to mitigate hazards.
Additionally, the system integrates intuitive, human-centric safety features. During L3 operation, it automatically responds to changing weather by activating wipers, headlights, and defoggers to maintain optimal visibility. For traffic compliance, the system precisely detects emergency vehicles—such as police cars, fire engines, and ambulances—and proactively yields, balancing autonomous safety with public road order.

Securing the L3 test license marks a pivotal milestone in AVATR's commercialization of advanced intelligent driving. Moving forward, the entire AVATR lineup will feature Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.0 system, delivering a highly stable, full-scenario intelligent mobility experience.
