Xpeng Motors has announced that global deliveries of its flagship electric MPV, the Xpeng X9, have surpassed 60,000 units. The model has already officially launched in Hong Kong, with an early bird price starting from HK$799,900.

The Xpeng X9 comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform and 5C ultra-fast charging AI batteries, offering a maximum pure electric range of up to 750 kilometres. This easily covers daily commuting in Hong Kong, inter-district travel, and even long-distance self-driving trips to the mainland. Whether making multiple runs between Kowloon and the New Territories or driving north to Xiamen or within Guangdong Province, frequent charging is rarely necessary.

Thanks to its flagship 5C ultra-fast charging technology, the X9 can replenish approximately 500 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes, effectively addressing range anxiety. For users who often lack home charging facilities, a single quick stop at a shopping mall on the weekend is typically sufficient for a full week of driving.

Tailored for Hong Kong’s narrow streets, frequent bends, and limited parking spaces, the Xpeng X9 comes standard with an active rear-wheel steering system, achieving a minimum turning radius of just 5.4 metres. This is more agile than many small hatchbacks, making the large seven-seater MPV (over 5.2 metres long) surprisingly easy to handle in tight urban environments.

Whether executing U-turns in old Kowloon districts, navigating S-curves in Central parking garages, or driving on New Territories country roads, the X9 significantly reduces driving stress. Combined with its intelligent dual-chamber air suspension and six hydraulic bushings, the vehicle delivers first-class ride comfort and driving dynamics comparable to top-tier luxury cars.

The Xpeng X9 is powered by a flagship-level Turing chip with a maximum effective computing power of 2,250 TOPS, paired with the second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) intelligent driving system. Its AI-assisted driving capabilities are significantly more advanced than traditional systems, offering smoother, more responsive, and safer performance.
Although current Hong Kong regulations impose restrictions on certain advanced driver assistance features, the X9 is fully equipped with cutting-edge hardware, ready for future regulatory changes. On the mainland, the system has been extensively validated, allowing Hong Kong users to enjoy full Pilot Assistance during self-driving trips to the mainland, greatly reducing long-distance fatigue.

To meet the diverse needs of Hong Kong users — from business reception and family outings to cargo transport — the Xpeng X9 comes standard with three rows of electric folding seats, supporting four flexible seating modes: 4-seat, 5-seat, 6-seat, and 7-seat configurations.

The vehicle is equipped with Nappa leather seats, airbag-enhanced zero-gravity seats that recline to 180 degrees, nine airbags, and a tyre blowout stability system. The zero-gravity seats replicate the comfort of a first-class cabin, while comprehensive active and passive safety features provide strong protection for both family and business use.

Inside, the X9 features a 17.3-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, delivering an intelligent and streamlined interaction experience. The exterior showcases a floating roof design, illuminated rear badge, and full-width taillight, perfectly combining style and substance to meet your expectations.
