Leapmotor D99 Flagship MPV Launched in China's Mainland, Priced from RMB 249,800 to RMB 319,800

Leapmotor has officially launched the D99, its flagship MPV, in China's Mainland. The new model is available in six trim levels, with prices ranging from RMB 249,800 to RMB 319,800.

The D99 features a sleek, rounded bullet-shaped body design complemented by Leapmotor’s signature split-headlight layout. The main headlight units adopt a square shape, while the full-width light bar above incorporates angular accents on both sides, creating a distinctive and recognisable family identity.

Five exterior colour options are available: Photoelectric White, Liquid Silver, Chenjing Blue, Sky-Dome Grey, and Metallic Black. The side profile is accentuated by silver trim outlining the roofline, with a thickened D-pillar for added solidity. The sliding door tracks are discreetly hidden beneath the third-row window glass. Black window surrounds paired with large polished chrome wheels significantly elevate the vehicle’s premium presence.

A massive 1.46 square metre panoramic sunroof is fitted on the roof, offering over 99.9% UV protection while maintaining excellent visibility.

The rear continues the minimalist, rounded aesthetic, with the full-width taillight seamlessly integrated into the rear glass. The brand name "LEAPMOTOR" is positioned below the taillight. The taillights support ISD smart interactive display functions, adding strong technological appeal. The clean rear design eliminates redundant lines for a sophisticated and refined look.

The interior adopts a mainstream minimalist design, equipped as standard with a digital instrument cluster, a large floating central infotainment screen, a HUD head-up display, and a ceiling-mounted rear entertainment screen.

Space flexibility is one of the D99's core strengths. The vehicle supports multiple seating modes: the first and second rows can be folded flat to form a bed, the third row folds completely flat at 180 degrees, and the second and third rows can be combined for maximum cargo space. The third row also features a unique "fishing seat" mode tailored for leisure use.

The rear trunk adopts a drop-in storage design, creating a completely flat loading floor that significantly improves cargo space utilisation. The second row is equipped with rotating zero-gravity aviation seats, supporting a 90-degree rotation for scenic viewing as well as face-to-face seating between the second and third rows. A large central table can also be installed, making the vehicle highly versatile and comfortable for family trips, leisure, or mobile office use.

In terms of intelligence, the D99 introduces the industry’s first Cockpit and Driving Integrated Central Domain Control system. It features an on-device large AI model smart cabin and is the first to be equipped with dual Snapdragon 8797 chips, delivering a total computing power of up to 1,280 TOPS. The vehicle is also equipped with the VLA (Vision-Language-Action) large model-based assisted driving system, comprehensively upgrading its intelligent capabilities.

The Leapmotor D99 is available in both Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) versions.

The EREV version is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and introduces the industry's first Dual-Purpose Motor AWD EREV system. It incorporates EREV-specific CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) battery integration technology, paired with an 80.3kWh large-capacity battery pack, providing an excellent balance of range and performance.

The BEV version features a full-stack 1000V powertrain system and utilises CATL's 115kWh super-hybrid battery cells. Its powertrain specifications rank among the highest in the industry, offering superior energy efficiency and ultra-fast charging performance.
