At this year’s Hong Kong Auto Expo, MG showcased the all-new S9 PHEV. The model carries an estimated price of around HK$380,000, with customer deliveries expected to begin in September 2026.

The MG S9 measures 4,983mm in length, 1,967mm in width, and 1,786mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,835mm. The exterior adopts a large grille with colour-blocking accents and sleek, elongated headlamps, creating a bold and imposing presence. Sharp character lines flow dynamically from the side profile to the rear, harmonising well with the full-width taillight assembly. For a vehicle of this size, the S9 features a notably daring and modern design.

The cabin employs clean, straight lines for a modern and functional layout. As with other MG models, physical buttons are retained below the central screen for intuitive operation. Key highlights include heated, ventilated, and massaging front leather seats, dual 12.3-inch displays (digital instrument cluster + central touchscreen), a 540-degree panoramic camera, tri-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, MG Pilot advanced driver assistance system, wireless smartphone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an electric tailgate.

As a seven-seater SUV, the S9 offers generous space, with particularly impressive second-row legroom while maintaining usable third-row seating. Trunk capacity is 332 litres in standard configuration, expanding to 1,026 litres with the third row folded and up to 2,093 litres with both the second and third rows folded down.

The S9 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre engine, a front electric motor, and a 24.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The system delivers a combined output of 299 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. In pure electric mode, it offers a WLTP range of 100 km, while the total combined range in HEV mode exceeds 1,000 km. The battery supports 11 kW slow charging and includes V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality.
