MG4 Urban Now On Sale: New Family Member Focuses on Spaciousness with Early Bird Price of HK$199,000

At the 2026 Hong Kong International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo, MG officially introduced the all-new MG 4 Urban, a more accessible variant within the MG 4 family. The model is now available for sale, with an original price of HK$219,000 and an attractive early bird price of HK$199,000.

Unlike a simple facelift of the existing MG 4, the MG 4 Urban is an all-new entry-level model built on a dedicated E3 architecture. It features a front-mounted motor with front-wheel drive, a MacPherson strut front suspension, and a torsion beam rear suspension. The vehicle adopts a CTB (Cell to Body) battery integration technology, which reduces intrusion into the cabin and enhances overall chassis rigidity.

The MG 4 Urban retains MG’s signature family styling cues, including the distinctive “philtrum” design on the front bumper. However, compared to the standard MG 4, its lines are more restrained and less aggressive, resulting in a cleaner and more approachable appearance.

The rear maintains a clean and minimalist design, highlighted by a full-width taillight bar and distinctive arrow-shaped side light clusters that leave a strong visual impression.

Inside, the MG 4 Urban features a dual-screen layout consisting of a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central infotainment display. Physical buttons are retained below the central screen for intuitive operation. The interior adopts a light colour scheme, creating a bright and friendly atmosphere. Areas such as the front passenger dashboard are wrapped in synthetic leather, enhancing the overall perceived quality.

The MG 4 Urban measures 4,395mm in length, 1,842mm in width, and 1,551mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750mm. These dimensions are larger than those of the standard MG 4, resulting in a more spacious and airy cabin, particularly generous rear legroom. The trunk offers 382 litres of capacity under standard conditions with a flat floor and an additional hidden underfloor compartment. With the rear seats folded in a 60:40 split, cargo space expands to 1,266 litres.

The MG 4 Urban is equipped with the MG Pilot advanced driver assistance system, a 360-degree panoramic camera, ventilated front electric seats, heated and electrically folding door mirrors, a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, and ambient interior lighting.

The MG 4 Urban is powered by a front-mounted single electric motor producing 160 horsepower (approximately 119kW) and 250 Nm of torque. It is equipped with a 53.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a WLTP range of 405 km. The battery supports 150 kW fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. It also supports V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality for external power supply.
