At this year's Hong Kong International Auto Expo, Voyah showcased its all-new large intelligent SUV, the Taishan X8.

The Voyah Taishan X8 adopts the brand's "Kunpeng Spreading Wings" design language, skillfully blending traditional Eastern aesthetics with contemporary technological flair. The front features a closed vertical waterfall-style light grille with cascading decorative strips, while the central area prominently displays the brand emblem, creating a commanding presence. A full-width light bar stretches across the upper section to visually widen the front fascia, and the main lower lighting units are integrated into a black grille area, revealing intricate internal lens structures. The overall design achieves both high recognisability and a strong sense of advanced technology.

The side profile showcases golden proportions typical of large SUVs. The Taishan X8 measures 5,200mm in length, 2,025mm in width, and 1,814mm in height. A smooth shoulder line flows from front to rear, complemented by a gently sloping roofline that effectively reduces the visual bulk common in large SUVs, resulting in a fluid and poised silhouette. Widened wheel arches and robust door designs convey a powerful and stable stance.

At the rear, the vehicle features a highly recognisable full-width matrix taillight with the English "VOYAH" badge embedded in the centre. A small blue intelligent driving status indicator light aligns with the front light bar for visual continuity. The roof spoiler and the angled rear windshield not only optimise aerodynamics but also add dynamic character to the rear profile.

The interior offers three sophisticated theme colours: Rosewood, Terracotta Orange, and Cedar. The Rosewood theme creates a private and secure atmosphere with deep tones; Terracotta Orange draws inspiration from warm sunlight and clay to evoke positivity and joy; while Cedar is inspired by snow-covered green pines, delivering a healing and serene environment.
Comfort is a major focus for the Taishan X8. The vehicle is equipped with industry-first kneading mechanical massage seats offering full-body massage, ventilation, and heating functions. Additional luxury features include a 13-litre dual-door refrigerator, a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted rear entertainment screen, and a premium 29-speaker VoyahSound audio system. High-contact areas feature 100% soft-touch materials, a velvet headliner, and 20-zone 256-colour ambient lighting, delivering an exceptional luxury riding experience.

The Taishan X8 is available in both plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions. The PHEV system combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with electric motors on an 800-volt high-voltage platform, supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. The engine produces a maximum output of 110kW, while the dual motors offer outputs of 150kW + 215kW or 150kW + 230kW depending on the variant. It delivers pure electric ranges of 190km, 300km, and 310km, with fuel consumption as low as 6.5–6.8L/100km under depleted battery conditions.
The pure electric version is equipped with a 120kWh battery pack, promising class-leading range and performance.
